It's good thing to underestimate your enemy, you know. Such odds could easily be won with clever tactics, although I've noticed tactics are not... as important as they are elsewhere...
Example: I don't remember who, but someone lost 1,000 horse archers when fighting an army of spearmen, and only managed to kill 1,000 of spears. Seriously WTH? unless those horsemen just did a mindless charge I can't understand such heavy losses. There shouldn't be any, spearmen have no ability whatsoever to counter horse archers, they are just sitting ducks waiting to be shot. But still, they managed to kill 1,000 of the horsies. Or am I missing something?
Besides, the military system iggy uses ain't that flexible, you either lose 1,000 or none. This is just a polite suggestion, but please even consider changing to similiar hundreds/thousands/divisions system which is used by many others. I suggest you would use hundreds system, and each eco would give you 10 hundreds. The more important change would be that one could lose just 1, 2 or 7 hundreds, instead of that 10. It would seriously make the game much more in flexible and in depth.
Note Iggy that this is just constructive critisism, I don't mean to offend you in any way with this.
