LINESII- Into the Darkness

I just resent them 3 hours ago! Are they deleted too?
Yours are still there.

For the record, I only deleted the old Davarian orders, which were sent before I went on vacation.

Death and Ascension

Wilipo had been the Ascendant Master for the longest recorded, ascending as the youngest ever. He had led the Swade Ascendancy to a golden age, expontentially expanding its territory, taking down Veritas, and making peace through out the Land. He had had two wives, Sereboir, who died the year before the taking of Veritas, and Woteissa, his second wife.

Sereboir gave birth to a son, Suwapa, who positioned himself to take over for Wilipo. But he had been born when Wilipo was young, and so now he was aging. But he had the army behind him. His only draw back was his religious radicalism.

Woteissa gave birth to a son, Revio, and a daughter Teissa. Revio was a sub-par ruler, and had the support of the Beurecrats, and Teissa was brilliant and a religious fantatic, and had the support of the Preist class.

So when Wilipo die, everyone expected chaos to ensue. But Wilipo, infinitly wise in life, was also so in death. He recognized that Teissa had a major future with the Swade, but he alos recognized now was not the time. He saw that Suwapa and Revio would have to contest with each other for the throne. He knew that unless some way could be thought up for them to show the world who should be the real ruler.

So Wilipo wrote his "Peresofian Decree" or what was known later as "Wilipo's Will". In this will, he set out that Teissa was to depart to Emor to convert Oneists through peaceful methods. But he knew he could not just name a ruler. So he decreed that on the 7th day of his death, when he was to be laid to rest in the Necropolis, Revio and Suwapa would have a sword fight on the top of the Necropolis, and the survivor would be the Ascendant Master.

Of course, it was not in his power to do this, to name the next AM, but the de-powered council was in no position to stop him. So on the seventh day, Suwapa and Revio fought. It was an epic battle, as recorded in the Epic Death and Ascension by Hoemur. But at sunset, Suwapa plunged his blade into Revio's face. With the death of Revio, Suwapa came to power, and his beganto impose his radical beleifs, which were surprisingly well accepted.

You see, Suwapa felt that when the Scripture refrered to the "Ascendancy" and "Bladedom" it was referring to a larger force, a world united by Bladism. So Suwapa set out to create his ideal state, his ideal world, through peace. Revio's blood had been shed so the worlds blood could be saved. And Wilipo's forsight set events in motion, world changing events.

Orders Sent*gasps for air*

Iggy, I don't bother sending new orders. I trust you will make the proper adjustments to my orders based on what I've already sent. I have my own update to do, so I hope this is OK with you...?

Um... I'm not sure what adjustments... you're referring to. That sentence doesn't make much sense to me.

I just meant you can figure out the details. I sent pretty shoddy orders since I was leaving for Japan for two weeks, and was pressed for time.

BTW das, I love the stories.

Thanks Iggy, can't wait for the update.

I'm preparing a climate map, BTW.

Jolly good. While you're at it, maybe a religion map and a culture[al influences] map as well?

Here's the biome map. What you see is part of my whole day's work, in completing every map I have of this.

MAP1.png

Legend
Light Green = Grasslands/Light Forests
Orange = Plains/Prairie
Yellow = Desert
Dark Green = Deciduous Forests
Dark Bluegreen = Boreal Forests
Light Bluegreen = Rainforest/Jungle
Brown = Hills and Mountains
White = Tundra
Blue = Water- I really hope you didn't need that one explained to you.

@das- Religion and culture? Oh come on, it's not that complex, really. Crystalists, Andues... we all know who follows which religions. Culture... well, everyone should have a basic grasp of the cultures of others, and a map may not be the best way to show them anyway.

Actually, yes it is. The religious minorities make things more complicated. As with culture, there's the problem of evaluating cultural influences - Gerber, for instance, as I had mentioned, is probably beginning under heavy Khemri-Gorinese cultural influence. Khemri and Shalamari generally influence everyone around them quite heavily. In the east, there are remnants of Valin influence. The Guangfei influence is also slowly spreading. The Lengels, on the other hand, are going to have some trouble assimilating the more advanced peoples, whilst said peoples, both those conquered and those still free, would exercise lots of influence on them.

Nice map, though. ;) I had thought Gerber to be more hilly and stuff, though.

could you state the differences between the forests for retards like me

and im rather offended that you didn't insult me yet das :( it breaks my heart

I'll get to you. Gorin, problematically, is on fairly good terms with Gerber and is yet to do lots of bad things about it. But I'll think off something.

Awesome map, Iggy! :D

You always avoid mentioning Shalamari, das. I mean, I know you closed your border centuries ago (and I am yet not sure if it has reopened) but I do expect some things to have seeped over the invisible line. As for things I have tried to spread to Gerber (Iggy never said what was adopted or not), there is Crystalism, Shaal (the Shalamari alphabet) Shalamari poetry and folk tales, songs and music, use of crystal talismans and luck charms, etc. I assume this is interesting for you when detailing the current culture of Gerber. :)

Trust me, I am perfectly aware of your evil schemes to subvert our culture. ;) And I did make mention of your malevolent attempts in the beginning of my last history post - go look for it if curious.

Oh, come on! That was just a side-note, a bypassing glance, a mere mention! :p Let's have Iggy rule the extent of success in Shalamari's most evil plans to "crystalize" Gerber. ;)

I put it to you that there are no Crystallists left in Gerber, at least according to the stats. The only part of your "cultural assistance pack" that might have reached us are those talismans of yours, but unless they're really mind control devices (*shudders, takes off his crystal talisman and throws it into a sewage - better safe than sorry*) that's not going to amount to much.

*hrmph* Stupid ingrates. Well, you cannot keep ignoring the most developed culture in the world for long. You know, I just keep getting more and more annoyed at the fact that we are allied. :lol:

You could try and betray us and launch a sneak attack! We'll never know what hit us!
