Kill Barb begins: Spearman
Rockland begins: Maceman
We now have 5 million citizens in our Empire! How cool is that?
I finish off Alex's offending Phalanx outside of Sparta.
Maceman defeats (2.32/8): Greek Phalanx
I spot Athens.
Sending War elephants to our eastern front, plan on building up our military in that sector
until we have enough material to take the barb city.
Troops continue to mass near Corinth, catapult is bombarding it, but is taking a while.
Feudalism in 6.
Rexburg finishes: Angkor Wat
Bombay finishes: Granary
Delhi finishes: Library
7. 1560 AD
Angkor Wat is built in Rex!
I start on a colloseum in Rex, we have an unhappy citizen in our wonder city.
What does he have to gripe about? Oh yeah, all these wonders and a war we are winning...
I can see why that would upset him. *grrrr*
Rexburg begins: Colosseum
Bombay begins: Library
Delhi begins: Barracks
More of
"Operation Sir Toma" in the east.
Maceman defeats (2.88/8): Barbarian Swordsman
Barb Axeman and Swordsman are still south of Dehli, but we have troops moving in for close support.
Corinth is at 33% defense now, more macemen are closing in. Heh heh.
Kill Barb finishes: Spearman
SandM City finishes: Crossbowman
Delhi finishes: Barracks

Lars Deforest continues
"Operation Sir Toma" and attacks a barb swordsman outside of Dehli.
Maceman defeats (6.40/8): Barbarian Swordsman
I decide to switch civics to Police state, since War weariness is taking it's toll.
IBT: Barbarians attack our forces north and SW of Dehli.
Crossbowman defeats (4.20/6): Barbarian Swordsman
War Elephant defeats (6.88/8): Barbarian Axeman
9. 1570 AD
Rex wanted to grow after we adopt Police State. I stagnate it again (Would be angry with another citizen).
I make a merchant specialist to attempt to reduce our cash problem.
Does that ever not work! (-48/turn to -44/turn). Well, it can't hurt, so I do it anyway.
For some reason, Alex sent a catapult by itself south of Corinth.
One of our reinforcing Macemen attacks it.
Maceman defeats (3.52/8): Greek Catapult
Troop build up at Dehli, lots of healing to do, but soon we will have the means to send units south towards the barb city shortly.
Globe Theatre should be built next turn.
Minoan finishes: Globe Theatre
Pharsalos's borders expand
By the way- Our great artist in Rex can be used to help research Divine Right. Might be something useful for him to do.???
Dehli is unhappy, so I start it on a monestary.
Delhi begins: Hindu Monastery
Walls can be done later, once this city gets put under some sort of control. Weird. It looks great on paper, but try to make it do something is
like sticking needles in your eyes.
10. 1575 AD
Globe Theatre built in Minoan.
Minoan begins: Library
Road connects Dehli to the rest of our empire, solved it's unhappiness problem.
I will keep working on the monestary though, just because.
Corinth is at 6% defense, it will be ours next turn.
Should we really stop our attacks after we take it?
I have moved a stack (2 war elephants, 1 macemen, 1 catapult + 2 medic macemen on the way),
and am sitting outside of the city walls now. We could take Alex's capital too.
For some reason, Alex sends a longbowman north of Pharsalos.
Maybe the same reason he sends catapults out alone. I wonder if he has ever played this game before?
I will wait for the bow to get off the hills, then will smote him with a 4x promoted maceman I've kept near pharsos just for this occasion.
Eagles Nest finishes: Christian Temple
Minoan grows: 7
Delphi finishes: Colosseum
11. 1580 AD

Catapult reduced Corinth's defenses to 0%
The Battle of Corinth!
Bigman Gibs starts the assault on Corinth.
Maceman defeats (6.88/8): Greek Longbowman
Yikes! Bigman is a terror! Very scary kind of unit, nice!
Not going to risk our Commando (even though he has +60% chance to win)
Generic maceman(with an anti-archer promotion attacks)
Maceman defeats (6.72/8): Greek Longbowman
Now I attack with our commando, going for extra XP for him.
Maceman defeats (8.00/8): Greek Axeman
We have captured Corinth! Yay!
(I so rejoicing right now, I'm gonna grab a fresh coffee)
I send our remnants of this army NE, towards Alex's northern city.
More barbs south of Dehli.
"Operation Sir Toma" is coming along.
Units are on the way, and will begin a southern push soon.

Okay, so Alex sends a catapult at Sparta, undefended, again. (noob)
Maceman defeats (3.20/8): Greek Catapult
I also take out Alex's pillaging longbowman north of Pharsalos.
Maceman defeats (4.64/8): Greek Longbowman
I spot Knossos north of Pharso.
Troops are on the way, including a catapult.
Athens defense down to 30%
Rexburg finishes: Colosseum
SandM City's borders expand
IBT:
In a stunning development, Alex attacks our wounded axeman (from attacking his undefended cat) with another undefended cat outside of Sparta!
Maceman loses to: Greek Catapult (3.75/5)
Aargh! What is wrong with this guy?
Maceman defeats (6.08/8): Barbarian Swordsman

Battle of Athens!
Maceman loses to: Greek Longbowman (2.22/6)
Maceman loses to: Greek Longbowman (3.84/6)
Maceman loses to: Greek Longbowman (0.60/6)
Oh man! We should have knocked out those longbowmen, but they are tough!
First and Third macemen had over 60% chance of winning, we should have won! I can't believe it.
I decide to stop this attack, even though the longbowmen are wounded.
All I have left is war elephants, Alex has a full strength phalanx waiting for us.
Nuts! Okay, I don't take Athens this turn, will have to bring reinforcements down from the north.
I pillage around Athens instead. Will withdraw next turn, pillaging on the way.
I also switch our merchant in Rex to a scientist. He wasn't helping much with money, and
Liberalism takes so long to research. Lib in 34, instead of 37.
University being built in Rex too, so that may help.
Rockland grows: 11
15. 1600 AD
Great Prophet born in Rex!
Mencius (Great Prophet) born in Rexburg
We have a Great Artist waiting, so we could go for a golden age.
Or...
We can build the church of Nativity in Bombay! (I move him in this direction, anyway, just seems like something we may want to do).
I will leave this for the next player to decide on though.
Corinth begins: Theatre
