Little questions & answers thread

So now that we know Bulgaria and Nepal's kit, is there any info on what Bolívar's abilities are?
He gets +1 war support, a free building to purchase in conquered settlements, and can purchase buildings in settlements under unrest.

That's it? Sounds boring and weak.

Does anyone know why the city can't grow this tile?
*It's not possible to click on the tile to grow it

I admit I haven't delved deep to find the answer myself...

Is there a way to check difficulty level, map size, etc once you have started the game?

Anyone noticed that with 1.1.0 does not cycle unmoved scout units before end turn button appears even the setting is enabled? Or it does, but only sometimes.

Somehow, GB got the Siam treatment this round—i.e., even if you "unlock" them in Exploration by making two Fleet Commanders, they're still locked. Has anyone found if there's a hidden condition to make them playable?

The Civilopedia says a Quarter consists of two buildings “from the same Age, two Civ Unique Buildings, or a Full-Tile Building”. How do Ageless buildings fit in with this. Do they count as any Age, are they their own Age ,or they don’t count for Quarters at all?

Yeah, I am also wondering about this. Quarters... WTH?

Every time I close the minimap or the quest tracker, they re-open on the next turn. Is this a bug or is there a mod that prevents this?

Not a great look for the first paid content…

I was able to play as Britain as Tecumseh/Mississippi/Shawnee (so no leader or civ unlock) after building two fleet commanders, so it seems inconsistent. My exploration age also started under the 1.0.1.0 version, so I was especially surprised to see it as an option at the start of the modern.

Quarters and their adjacencies are one of the worst explained features of Civ VII.
As per Firaxis glossary, which seems to answer the questions raised here:

Quarter: An Urban District that has two Buildings from the active Age (or that are Ageless) completed in the same tile. Some Civilizations have Unique Quarters with additional bonuses.

Yeah, I get it, I just think it's poorly explained and insufficiently emphasized within the game. In short, a "quarter" is a completed urban district where both building slots are filled with relevant buildings from the current Age (or ageless buildings).

Why can't I build a library here? I thought I could build urban districts adjacent to wonders (see Hanging Gardens to the left)

It appears that wonders only extend urban district adjacency if they are adjacent to an urban district. They don't allow you to break the urban districts into multiple sections. You need to put another building in that central tile between the two wonders, and then you should be able to put the library where you want.

So if you're saying if I built an urban district between the two wonders, then I can build that library on that other tile?
