I suspect it’s a variation of this bug: https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...nt-be-improved-claimed-repeatable-bug.695650/Does anyone know why the city can't grow this tile?
That bug seems like one caused by a previous city state occupying the tiles. My one is on a new save on turn 11I suspect it’s a variation of this bug: https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...nt-be-improved-claimed-repeatable-bug.695650/
No.Do bonuses provided by masteries, civ-specific techs, persist through age transitions?
At the very bottom of the popup layout when you press Esc.I admit I haven't delved deep to find the answer myself...
Is there a way to check difficulty level, map size, etc once you have started the game?
Yeah, I am also wondering about this. Quarters... WTH?The Civilopedia says a Quarter consists of two buildings “from the same Age, two Civ Unique Buildings, or a Full-Tile Building”. How do Ageless buildings fit in with this. Do they count as any Age, are they their own Age ,or they don’t count for Quarters at all?
Somehow, GB got the Siam treatment this round—i.e., even if you "unlock" them in Exploration by making two Fleet Commanders, they're still locked. Has anyone found if there's a hidden condition to make them playable?
Quarters and their adjacencies are one of the worst explained features of Civ VII.Yeah, I am also wondering about this. Quarters... WTH?
As per Firaxis glossary, which seems to answer the questions raised here:Quarters and their adjacencies are one of the worst explained features of Civ VII.
Yeah, I get it, I just think it's poorly explained and insufficiently emphasized within the game. In short, a "quarter" is a completed urban district where both building slots are filled with relevant buildings from the current Age (or ageless buildings). As per Firaxis glossary, which seems to answer the questions raised here:
Quarter: An Urban District that has two Buildings from the active Age (or that are Ageless) completed in the same tile. Some Civilizations have Unique Quarters with additional bonuses.
It appears that wonders only extend urban district adjacency if they are adjacent to an urban district. They don't allow you to break the urban districts into multiple sections. You need to put another building in that central tile between the two wonders, and then you should be able to put the library where you want. Why can't I build a library here? I thought I could build urban districts adjacent to wonders (see Hanging Gardens to the left)
Yes.So if you're saying if I built an urban district between the two wonders, then I can build that library on that other tile?
