I dont see it mentioned in the rules list.. but how do you feel about settling a city, bring in a settler.. abandon first city and settle new city deeper in..

Reason I ask this is because the stupid indians moved a stack of units into a spot that means I will be unable to attack a number of cities in turn 4 without doing this (would not have had to if I had moved the combat settler to the nextdoor tile instead.. but I didnt expect the indians to put units on just that tile)

Looking at situation I guess I can forego 5 slaves and capture/abandon a babylonian city instead.. but that would mean really tight build

I really don't have a rule on this type of culture push. I don't mind it occasionally. I did it once during my turns. Doing it on a constant basis would head toward an exploit.
 
After more studying I think I will go for the capture/abandon afterall.. this will allow sending a combat settler 2 tiles deeper into enemy lands for next turn, and allow capturing more cities next turn.
 
done with the warring in turn 4.. took out 19 babylonian cities this turn..
no more babylon left in africa.. the babylonian capital jumped to an island in the pacific so the flip risk on leo's is almost gone... at 36.1% territory and 42% pop

Edit: Oops.. I was wrong.. they have 3 more african cities that I missed

This game is so won already.. we are at almost 32% of domination limit already.. just by grabbing all the unclaimed land would would be at 50%..
We are the tech leader.. our army is strong vs everyone..
The 2 most powerful AIs left is India and Australia...

start by lowering sci to 80% and still get Fission in 1 turn.. that means we will have UN buildt in 1675AD so cant loose that way.

I raise lux to 20% to get more WLTKD for increased production from lower waste.

I notice Smiths is left at size 12 even if it has shakespares and could reach much higher production

I decide to go through all towns to MM even if I really dont have to to win this.

After I MM some cities I realize I have lots of units/armies still left over with movement.. and capturing cities or building new will mess up the MM in communism

We still make 998gpt.. and our only use for gold is espionage atm.. (and we are the tech leader)

we are 4 shields away from UN... I should have MMed better to bring it in this turn.. but I kept thinking it was 800 shields, not 1000

start with the easy part.. use a artillery to redline the flak defender in the city that flipped (flak is their best defender now? :lol: )

I use an army to scout through indian lands.. I can get babylonian border np using their rails.

Lets see.. Babylon is in fascism.. so a strike at their capital and the surrounding core cities will hurt them bad..
Babylon also has ROP with mongols.. so I will have to ally Mongols vs them.. we already have 15 turns of ROP with them, so another 5 turns of deals wont be that big a deal..

Everything loose fine, so I call up Babylon and get all their gold and their WM for our WM.. I then make sure we have no active deals.. and declare

It's actually OK if you play 10. I just want to know in advance when you'll finish so I can plan appropriately.
 
I may still be off my guord but I would like to do conquest, if for no reason, other than we can, and it hasn't been done yet. It would probably add 20 turns at most onto the game, and we wouldn't have to worry too much about what all our cities are doing, or founding more new cities and the delay that takes.

I have zero interest in conquest. I want this game over, and don't want to play on just to get a different victory condition.

The island hopping would be a royal pain around Australia. I suspect the logistics on getting troops to all those islands will be a pain. Not to mention we would probably get stuck with a settler in a boat that will be a pain to track down.

What takes longest is moving the around 600 workers and figuring out what tiles to chop to speed up builds (have no idea how many temples, harbors, artilleries and tanks! I have chopped so far)
It seems every turn so far has added around 25slaves, 10 tanks, 10 artilleries, 5 infanteries, and around 5 ToWs on average..

Seems I have added an average of 7 temples per turn too

Once we reach domination I am sure you can take the save before win and just play to conquest instead.. :lol:

Then I will play as far as i get this weekend.. I started summer vacation today.. so no more work for 6 weeks :)
 
Its insane how powerful this many armies is.. after babylon was thrown off the continent halfway though turn 5, I turned my eyes on india and got them to declare..

at end of turn 6 there is just a skeleton left of the indian core.... (and most of their outlieing cities are gone..)

India should be pretty much off the continent before end of turn 7...
 
I am finishing off turn 6 worker actions, then I will pass it on to you :)
(all the forest chopping and such is what takes long time :p)
