Well with butterflies dating back thousands of years ago, with different history to go along with it, it should be obvious that any sort of far left wing politics (which I called communism just for the sake of our convenience so we have some frame of reference) would have significant divergences from how it played out OTL. Karl Marx was probably never even born in this timeline. The fact that my nation is named after an Aztec religious concept should definitely preclude the idea that state atheism is any part of official ideology of my government, and I'm really confused where this whole government hatred of ragtime came from because I don't remember saying a single thing about the arts yet. It's like everyone assumes because I'm communist that I'm going to be just Soviet Russia in Mexico with natives and that was never my intention at all.

There's even more I have to say on this but I don't want to call people out personally in a public space.

Notably I never said you were communist, I referred to your ideology as "Aztec socialism" and never inferred anything about your nation's religious practices. There's also nothing to stop you from declaring ragtime to be a protected cultural tradition.

Although the constitutionalist party eventually dissolved as the republican institutions of the Sacred Slavic Empire got onto it’s feet in the early 1900s, he remained supportive of the republican institutions. As a “Moderate” he sees no real need for further reforms, but is open minded to it’s potential need and the necessity to reevaluate constantly. As a ruler, he works with his Grand Marshals to evaluate laws and international affairs, while remaining notably hands off in the governing of the Republic.

He is frustrated in his brother’s unwillingness to take action while the Sejm deliberates, and sometimes wonders how he himself would rule, if it came to that (especially after the assassination of the Emperor of the Andes). He would keep the Sejm for boring day to day administrations, but any and all important decisions will become his and his alone.

Religious Militarist Reactionary: The Army of God
The Army of God wishes to return control of the country to a militant and crusading Emperor, who shall lead the Armies of God against the Heretics and Heathens, and bring civilization and Christianity to the dark places of the world.

Religious Conservative: The Catholic Conservatives/The Imperial Cross
The Catholic Conservatives and the Imperial Cross are nearly identical. The only difference is that the Catholic Conservatives originate from the dissolution of the Constitutionalist Party, and believe that the current reforms are enough. The Imperial Cross is more aristocratic, and although they want some more "reforms", what they actually want is preservation and expansion of the prerogatives of the nobility.

Religious “Liberal”-Centralist: The New Horizon
The New Horizon is the heart of the old Constitutionalist Party and leads the current ruling coalition. Although considered Liberals, by any other measure they would be Moderates or Centralists. Their platform rests on "common sense" reforms and gradual adoption of successful policies viewed from across the world.

Religious Socialist/Liberal: The Christian Commune
The Christian Commune is a Religious-Socialist movement, similar to the Democratic Socialist movements OTL. They desire more reforms, especially for the welfare of the common man. Their socialism was initially more like Bismarckian Social Welfare. However, as more of their platform is achieved, some wonder if they would seek a more radical goal.

Secular Liberal Nationalism: The Pan-Slavic Brotherhood
The Pan-Slavic Brotherhood wishes for closer relations and potentially unification with the Slavonic Theocracy. They also wish for the liberation of the Slavs of the Balkans. Although labeled as Secular, this merely means that they view the questions of nationalism and the unification of the Slavic people to be so important that questions of faith are simply irrelevant to their goals. That does not mean their goals are not sometimes intentionally mischaracterized by their opponents.


Ruling Coalition: New Horizon, The Christian Commune, (The Imperial Cross)
With republican institutions still young, new reforms and developments are constantly at the forefront. Although the New Horizon and the Christian Commune form the current coalition government, the New Horizon is somewhat embarrassed by this alliance of necessity. Several members of the Imperial Cross round out the coalition and serve to moderate the demands of the Communeists.

Saulis disapproves of his predecessor Rafael Jozsi’s coalition with the Christian Commune, but is forced to maintain it, at least for now. (As for Rafael, he felt he had no choice after the dissolution of the Constitutionalists).

Violet - Absolute Monarchy: Long being a color of nobility in pre unification Rome and Persia, Violet represents those states that are governed by a Monarch with absolute authority. While succession, and legitimacy may be different between states, they all share one thing a single monarch with few to no formal checks on their power.

Green - Constitutional Monarchy: Similar to an Absolute Monarchy, where much of the power is still retained by a singular monarch, however this form of government incorporates many Liberal and even sometimes Republican influences, with all containing some form of constitution as a formal check on the monarch's power, and many contain some form of parliament or other form of legislature that shares power with the monarch.

White - Theocratic: These governments claim to be governed not by man, but by God himself. While many states have some theocratic or religious influence, a theocracy takes it a step forward, usually holding a set of scripture or beliefs as their "constitution" and the laws set forth in the scripture are the laws of the land. Many times they are governed by some sort of Priest or Bishop.

Blue - Republican: A Republican government is governed by some form of legislature, while many have some form of individual head of state, they are usually appointed by the legislature. How one becomes a member of the legislature is different for each state, some are elected, others like the ancient Roman republic are oligarchic with the aristocracy being members of the legislature, but the common thing is that the majority of the power is held by the legislature, not the head of state like in a Monarchy.

Red - Revolutionary: This is the newest government form in the world, oftentimes holding very similar governance structure to a republic, however the defining characteristic of a revolutionary state is the incorporation of many socialistic policies and institutions, and usually a deep seated hatred for aristocracy and monarchy. A revolutionary state oftentimes take on the characteristic of other forms of governance, including autocracy. This government is currently only held by two states, and is limited to the New World, however they are two of the strongest powers in the New World.

Brown - Tribal: The oldest form of government, a tribal government can take on any of the characteristics of a more modern and centralized government, however they are commonly extremely decentralized and have little ability to govern over large territories effectively. There are two states that currently have a tribal government, as well as the various unorganized tribes of the Arabian interior.
