LS Civilization Set

Oh that's just a fancy way to say A.D., oh and by the way your Timur and Tom's Timur don't like each other activating both seems to mess up the text

Edit: the settler given by the collective rule policy doesn't receive the eternal fire promotion, in case there is no workaround this problem you could you change it so it gives the promotion for settlers around the city for 1 turn once this policy is adopted.
Some of my older civs have still lack LS tags in some points. Not surprised since I used Tomatekh's civ as a template. I am gonna fix it.

Only trained Settlers receive this promotion. It is intented.

If you're looking at leader art, I think Purea of Tahiti needs a slight face-lift. Iirc her forehead extends abnormally far, given she is wearing a headdress-thing.

I edited it while you were still typing the reply, settlers Eternal Fire promotion is lost once it is captured by barbs.

In other news I can't save scum comfortably due to crashes.

Dunno, for me it is quite natural that Barbarians (in this case) don't let your enslaved people weild the fire. There is no example in game... though Naval units created by Privateers do not keep promotions! :) Problem solved, it is not a bug.

About crashes, you can also check a Lua logs for errors, but it is usually useless.

Tomorrow I might post simple version of Assassins.

So I feel like current UA description is inconsistent due to not giving bonus yields on luxury resources.
Also I don't understand the UU at all, no spots get marked on the map. :crazyeye:
Oh and just some nitpicking why is Sparta called "the Spartans"?

the feel when no Assassins.

Nice job on Prithvi!
James VI could do with being made a little less... bright? It feels a bit weird when he pops up and you get a face full of bright gold.

I was wondering, re: assassins. Is it possible to make spies who are stationed in the same city state assassinate one another? Can spies who perform coups be given level ups? I feel like these things should be in the base game, and wondered if it might just be a few lines of code to make it happen?

Apparently it's next to impossible to do nearly anything stable with Spies that doesn't involve mucking around and changing base code as opposed to the more mod-friendly method of just adding atop it. That's why my suggestions for the Hashshashin were more focused on a devastating but limited-number infantry unit and their Generals giving a Delegate upon making a citadel (specifically that because the UU involves civilian units hopping back to the capital instead of dying, and it might cause weirdness with getting free Delegates for throwing the same GG into enemies over and over).

And yeah I think avoiding a civ name prefaced by 'The' is always preferable - Tahiti instead of The Tahitians, Gaul instead of The Gallians, Sparta instead of The Spartans...I think Minoa is valid in place of The Minoans? Maybe?

By Food Resource I mean every Resource that yields (at least) 1 Food.
Hidden Ancient Ruins are hidden, explore the sea.
Dunno, it is probably, because I don't care about such stuff.

It turned out I haven't mad a map for Assassins, so I made one, but then I discover lack of units' icons and I give up for a while. Though the database is done.

Oh, I even wanted to add loud sound on the dialogue start, so the player is knocked down just by mayesty of James. Will see. One more funny thing about James is that I got feedback about his ability. It was something like this "too strong, nerf please". Then I asked which difficulty level he played on, "settler". :crazyeye:

Nah, spies are something hard-coded.

I would actually keep the Minoans and I think that it is currently Gallia, not the Gallians. I can change it to modern Gaul (or Hokath can change it :0).

Funny fact is that Baldwin almost got the Tibetan capital before Assyria dowed him, so there is neverending action. Right now, Nepal has been defeated by mutual force of Shaka and Isabel, city-states are falling, Spartan units are visiting my borders for a bit too long, so I may even enter Modern Era in this game.
Conclusion is that Khmer will be nerfed (just a bit, because I think that claiming ToA, HG and Petra may determined my power much more than UA + domination of Warmonger civs let me got every second wonder in game).

Shame to hear about the spy situation.

On Gaul not sure if the UU has an LS_ tag or not. One of the strings had it, and the other didn't. I left it out, so you can fix it if that's wrong.

Khmer is a serious problem. I think that the UA needs to go back to +food for citizens (and wonders), rather than +citizens. Also his AI is a bit too aggressive I think. I mean I wrote his dialogue like a stark-raving-lunatic for a reason. E.g. the game I'm currently playing looks like this: http://imgur.com/X40YLzj

I thought I was going to be the Evil Empire of Rome, backstabbing the Minoans and getting everyone mad at me, but before I could even declare war, the whole world was united against Suryavarman, who wiped out Sumer and then Scotland in the same war.

I only survived this long because I bribed him to kill off the Sami (who were in the lead). He only wanted 3 GPT. Nut job.

Keep the tags as they are. It may be that description has LS tag and Help not. (it is, because Help tags have to be replaced manually rather than by Quick Replace).

The main "issue" with AI Khmer are good flavours (same reason why Hawiatha was main power of GK). Food, Production, Expansion :). Anyway, I am gonna probably remove extra working citizens from population, so "+1 Working Citizen per World Wonder in Capital". It should remove the boost you got once reach 4 population, nerfing early game and delays the snowball effect.

Do you have a spy in their capital? May you share Population/Wonders data?

Heh, indeed bribing is such broken mechanic. :)

Why is Shah Jahan a Great Merchant?

Arabia beat him into space 2 turns after this photo.
About 1/3 of world wonders to him, 1/3 to arabia and 1/3 to everyone else with most in the Sami capital:

Silly Tahiti, why are you pushing all your cities inland. LS did you neglect to set their naval flavor to 12?

Silly Tahiti, why are you pushing all your cities inland. LS did you neglect to set their naval flavor to 12?

I've always though that Indonesia does a fairly good job of expanding onto islands, but it doesn't have that high naval flavours. Is this because it takes into account the spice? Is there a way of mimicing it for Tahiti?

Tahiti has naval flavour 5, Gajah Mada 7. I rarely see Indonesia using trait (if, it is usually in industrial era, when AI starts to settle every single spot).

Yes, I can write AI support for Tahiti, but it will be heavily punished by settling all around the globe (I usually can't defend lone cities on different continents, imagine what AI would do, workers travelling around the world). Right now, AI is usually quite decent just with Food bonus.

Anyway, I have just finished game with Caribbean. Unexpectedly, Buccaneers are the most interesting component. Great Corsair will be simplified to:
-extra sight
-automatically plunder enemy Cargo Ships within 5 range on turn start, creating new naval unit for you
-treasure upon Archaeological Dig

I will also have to fix Fast Admiral promotion, which is related to UnitType and not Class. Same thing for Hetman and it may be helpful for Cherokee.

I have started planning some nice nerfs.

Nah, Tahiti is interesting enough, no need for buffs. It actually beats anything else in terms of gameplay, that's why I am fine with AI not using abilities properly.

At last, I motivated myself and made some updates, you can now admire Hokath's work in sets:
I, II, V.

I have made some insignificant (for gameplay) changes. Well, maybe fact that Tipi Camp is now generating units only at war is worthy noting. I was using those free units for scouting.

Any desires for a new UA for Romania? also the UB culture for combat units visiting the city should scale with game speed, +5 culture in Marathon is the most underwhelming thing ever since +1 vision.

Updating to v16 should fix it.

//I may replace Romania with new civ. It will be easier that way.
