LS Civilization Set

I have a problem with this set - I'd like to play giant YnAEMP map with as much civs as possible, so I downloaded quite a lot of them. I also downloaded some of your sets (V, VIII, IX and XI plus Poland leaders pack). I enabled them all plus LS compatibility patch and...

1. some leaders from the packs are available (for example set IX works) but others (set XI) - are not. I can chose Qin from the leaders' list but there's no Israeli or Viking leader.

2. Poland... disappeared. I enabled Poland is Love and Life, but not only there's no additional leaders - Poland disappeared from the list of civs completely.

I'm quite new to Civ V mods, I'm also using YnAEMP and R.E.D Modpack only.
 
Well, I am sorry to disappoint but most of the mods here do not support TSL or anything at all, the patch itself was created by JFD and I don't think he updated since release.
 
So they just won't work then? It's not really a huge problem, but I hoped it can be solved quite easily. If not - then I'll just play with few civs less, no problem.
 
p.s. some of your civs pedias show settlers as unique units, Casmir iii poland, Nobunaga Japan, cat russia who appears twice?
That's because I am actually adding new civilizations and disable existing ones. Changing unique units to Settlers to make them unable to be gifted by city-states (?), anyway there is LUA double check on that, so it may be redundant. And I am actually never bothered myself with pedias. Probably, because I know what the mods do. :crazyeye:

It's funny, I specially added a button allowing player to move "button opening tree" around for people like you (custom interface) and on your screenshot it is covered by a top panel.

Right now, I am losing my game as Ivan, and I love it. UU needs some fix. I got free citadel builder and automated it assuming it is normal worker, best citadel ever. I have some insight on this area of tree.
I razed my own cities so evil Poland cannot grab it; not gonna forget.

I don't truely understand why you cannot play them, they should be just placed semi-randomly on map. That's probably restrictive design. Iirc, the "patch" is working for sets 1-8? I hope so.
 
I have no idea why it won't work too, but that's not a problem. Some of your civs still work and they are awesome, they greatly improved my current game, thanks for making them!
 
In my game, I've changed Peterhof Palace to Pertrine Baroque Museum. It's a broader representation of Peter's impact through importing so many western European architects. Many of the palaces built in that style became museums anyway (after being restored). Also I wanted have the word Peterhof Palace not be used because regalmanemperor has that as a wonder. The Pedia text I use is below:

I decided to do what Russia always can do, expand elsewhere and count on Sweden to do the job. Jimmu reconquered Muro, his allied city-states razed two cities that originally belonged to him and almost my Machu, before I signed peace on south.

Yaa, I am playing quite stacked maps so a civ with such a number of cities is rare. Ottomans were doing nice as well. I think 12 civs +1 without Capital were remaining at the end.
Boleslav build Hubble about 15 turns before I would finish. He completed two SS parts, while my science capabilities were meh. I decided to retire, acknowledging his victory.

Playing has Christopher Lee, vassalised a city state and they are still "hostile" making me lose lots of influence with them, intentional?
 
Hostile is a personality of city-state, randomly assigned at the game start? It affects all players in game equally and will not change entire game, unless you mod it.

I started a game with Catherine last night. I saw the breakdown of what each point of Power will get me and I took abilities that gave me a chance to generate more Power. But, unless I'm blind as a bat, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to actually generate Power in the first place.

Yes, you have first to acquire an ability to generate power. In design, the yields should slowly start kicking in around T120.
I don't know, I can add one extra ability per era to speed it up early.

I have no clue what is your culture panel, Top Panel, city view or culture overview.
First of all read lua logs (use Fire Tuner), second target mods that interact with it, for example if a mod is replacing a Culture Overview, all you have to do is search Culture Overview in your mods folder, and list make a list. Then it is simply, you deactive part of those mods and check if it helps, until you detect an issue.
Though it all depends of rarity of issue.

So instead I started a game with Boles&#322;aw I the Brave, initially disappointed that Eagles Nest has nothing to do with Hitler I managed to man up and continue playing, great ability for rushing units and buildings, maybe wonders but pretty hard to get them at Emperor anyway.

Menial Settlement were always built after Monument and Shrine, happiness is good if you play like me, sadly if you play like me you wont have time to eat because you are in the army now.

Pancerny are pretty awesome if you have horses and I did! cavalry is powerful allowing for quick hit and run and with the flanking bonus pairing those boys together allows for powerful attacks, the vs city bonus is meh because you only use melee to capture them not to besiege.
Unfortunately couldn't use the healing part of the Pancerny because I didn't know how, probably my UI messing up stuff (used your patch and it didn't help).

Lovely, I have yet to play as Boleslav (at least I don't remember playing him). I think Menial Settlement might be indeed strong with Tall civ.

Oh, great, it just shows how irrevelant are icons in game; my mind were simply ignoring it. Noted.

  • Russian States of Mind - initital working, my thoughts from playing Ivan, balance, descriptions ~ icons will be fixed in next update.
  • Not for Filthy Gaijin - Tokugawa's Teppo nerfed; some text fix, Jimmu's redesign as it was a failure; added just stronger Composite Bowman in place of Carrier, unique ability is now a bit of the old Viking one:
    +15% defense on starting continent and surrounding waters. +15% attack on foreign continents and waters surround them (by surrounding I mean the distance of 3; does not work on aircraft).
  • Set 11 - Viking Redesign
    • Abiity: Ignores 25% defense of coastal cities (35% if no city captured on this continent yet).
    • Berserker - Pikeman
      • Available at Drama and Poetry; adequate cheaper
      • 50% Culture from kills
      • Fury is now single target ability (-10 HP, gain combat strength per missing HP, fights till target or him is dead)
    • Longship - Caravel
      • Available at Civil Service; adequate cheaper
      • +1 Moves, can move after attacking
      • -2 Combat Strength
  • Set 16 - First thoughts
    • Teotihuacan - removed part giving Faith from Ability - unneeded in my opinion. Tried to optimise code as much as possible.
    • Saladin - removed part similar to Franks (keeping buildings on capture), focused on Puppet cities training units, first of all, they will now do it more often (was a bug) and with double production.
  • Set 12 - Overhaul 2016
    • Caribbean
      • Ability: +1 Happiness per each extra copy of the luxury resource. Keep Happiness from luxuries banned by World Congress. (somebody is happy :P)
      • Great Corsair: added effect "earned 100% faster than Great Admirals"
    • Genoa
      • Ability now works only on first 5 great works of art.
      • Interface related to building is now showing which Trade Routes are available now.
    • Minoans
      • UU instead discovering Ancient Ruins may be spent on creating one-time Trade Route with nearby foreign city. Works only before Classical Era.
    • Added missing Music (replaced old one of Genoa), minor art polishing - wasn't so bad :P. Recoded, but Caribbean will not work correctly with Random Traits anyway (3 uniques).

Uhm, update notes, hard work. Glad I make some progress with updating. Right now, only sets 10,13,14,15,PLL were not updated in 2016. I might even prepare some stuff for 3rd anniversary of modding like for first one.

The redesign to Jimmu is appreciated, probably one of the weakest UA in so many categories, it is situational and its benefits negligible. still seem rather stale but I don't care enough for poor Jim or Nips to give you ideas. :undecide:

Rest in piece my sweet Genoa, I had a cheese strat with them for strong culture and a easy game.

I have a new game with Cat, probably my fifth, this time I managed to get everything and do nothing still I want to check my assumption that Cat is the weakest out of three. Two hundred turns in and I just stayed quiet and pretty and I conquered one of the NZ in my game because he had no army. My main struggle is my cossack poop economy but I think I am on the rise.

Also a possible bug of not getting any Finesse, not sure why or how but I stopped getting Finesse which is annoying. :(

There is an ability that doubles your power gain, but makes you unable to generate finesse and terror. I have buffed Power area in v3, nerfed Terror. I think, about a year and I might find a golden balance.


Playing as Ashanti, uploading nerf to UU right now.

So this bug will make Poland a next update priority.
My friend suggested for Poland an ability to change leaders and abilities each era, so guess what Royal Elections are gonna do... :crazyeye: I think it is gonna be a modmod, because Polish set is already too heavy. Now, only who should be a base leader, Walezy for first era?
 
Come on Teddyk don't underestimate my reading skills, I didn't get "power overwhelm me" I actually think power is the weakest of the three right now, I wanted to pull of a "money is power" with Finesse. I have over 150 faith per turn and with "church bells" I expected to let rain from the lacerated sky, bleeding its horror, creating my structure!

The thing is I can't get the promotion it only appears on the unit's list of promotions it already got.
