ls612 is too young to remember David Carridine as "grasshopper" in the Movie and As a Young Shaolin Monk in the old west TV show (crap forgot the name of the show). :p

Kung Fu was not just what he did, it was what the show was called....

It's also what I thought of when I saw that. "Did he not see the series?" They even did another series for it, "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues", in the 90s . There was at least one TV movie in the 80s.
 
I was gonna say Kung Fu, as that was his training, but just wasn't sure if the show was called that. And I must have watched several seasons of it too. Gettin' :old: and :dunno: forgetful.

Now that the aircraft are done its time w move on to the boats. I will be using a mixture of Incident Dave's Ideas, Vokarya's Ideas and my own take on them.

Like before I will try to do a few at a time.

War Canoe
- Increase to Strength 3

Galleass
- Upgrades to Sloop OR Sloop of War

Sloop of War
- Upgrades to Man O War

Ship of the Line
- Decrease to Strength 24
- Decrease to Movement 4
- Req Techs: Naval Cannon AND Naval Tactics
- Upgrades to Pre-Dreadnought OR Early Destroyer
- Change Accuracy to 60

Man O War
- Increase to Strength 30
- Upgrades to Ironclad OR Iron Frigate

Frigate
- Remove Transport Ability

Iron Frigate
- Remove Transport Ability
- Increase to Movement 5

Ironclad
- Remove Transport Ability

Paddle Steamer
- Lower to Strength 22

Early Destroyer
- Increased to Movement 6

Something like that... I think we worked out something slightly different but this seems to make sense as well off the top.

I'm pretty sure the conversation was somewhere in the discussion on Shenryr's Let's Play...

Well I have been thinking about it for awhile. First it might be better if there was a War Raft as well as a Raft. However the way the techs play out its not that bad in how its set up now. So my conclusion has been to leave them for now. I don't want to break something that's not really broken. You know what I mean?
 
The main thing, I feel, is that the war canoe and the canoe should differ. The Canoe should be a transport unit and weaker while the war canoe should be stronger but not be a transport unit(except perhaps just an explorer/individual unit type.)

Thus we see the same split there as we did between the original Vanilla BtS Trireme/Galley (War Canoe/Canoe).

The point was never about rafts really.
 
Why not regard the raft as it is?
A basic naval vehicle which allows you to cross coastal waters.
Period. ;)

Anything more than this should be left for more sophisticated naval units, starting with canoes.

You can't stop a naval unit from moving into any plot that has your culture. The raft is already limited to coastal btw but can enter ocean if you own it.
 
Sorry, i simply meant leave the raft as it is: the most simple and first naval unit, movement 1, cargo 1.
