Errr did I get any colonial Levies? at all?

And how did my Naval Interdiction fail per sae? The Japanese landings are in rather fixed positions.

You did but levies are nothing compared to trained troops. Especially not in colonies like the ones being invaded. The Japanese navy isn't as weak as you thought.

To: The World
From: The Prussian Union

Because of the past failures of large, joint peaces, the Prussian Union, while still wanting peace, is looking for separate peace treaties so as to allow for the world as a whole to come to peace regardless of one or two nations who wish to continue this costly war. We will, over the course of the next few months, be sending our offers of peace to our various enemies, and will be pushing for our allies to do the same.

To: The Empire of Russia
From: The Prussian Union

While the generals of the Prussian Union continue to push for war, the government itself is happy to end this war, as it has been for the past three years. However, peace terms themselves will now favor the Prussians, as we have the advantage; you saw no shame in pushing your own, and we will see no shame in pushing our own. We hope these terms of peace between Russia and the Prussian Union are acceptable.

Treaty of Berlin

1) Russia will restore Finland to its prewar borders, independence, and sovereignty.

2) The Karellian Territories will be ceded to Finland, and St. Petersburg and the surrounding territory to the Prussian Union; all other Russian territory occupied by the Prussian Union or Finland will be returned.

3) All hostilities will cease between the Prussian Union and Russia. War will continue between the Prussian Union and any of Russia's allies that do not accept Prussia's peace offers.

While this peace does not include China or Japan, I am sure you can find peace with them as well if you so wish it. We find this peace very good for Russia, as it will allow them to continue existing on very reasonable terms.

To: France
From: The Prussian Union

We would like to thank France for its withdrawal from this war, as it has allowed for many Prussian victories. We hope that your dislike for powerful rivals will not cause another invasion of Prussian soil because, as I am sure you can see, Prussia harbors no ill will towards France or its actions.

To: Japan, China
From: The Prussian Union

The Prussian Union thanks its powerful Asian allies for their assistance in its war with Russia, as well as its wars with the United Kingdom and America. Your large territorial acquisitions will, hopefully, be little reduced by whatever peaces may be finalized over the coming year.

The Prussian Union would ask you both to present terms for a separate peace to Russia in the hopes of ending this war in concerns of them so we can move on to their allies who have yet to be soundly defeated without being mired in Russian territory.

OOC: I had expected it to work better, but still: wow! That went really well, considering how bleak the situation was last year...

All things considered, good update, Lucky! :goodjob:

Then you will continue a war with an absolute impossibility of victory? While it may seem that Prussia did the same last year, we would have quickly surrendered if there had been no more nations to bring into the war on our side that would shift the balance of power.

Russia, on the other hand, has already gained all the allies it will ever have, and even lost one. All powerful nations of the world are on either one side or the other, leaving you hopelessly afloat with no more pieces of drift wood left to cling to. You cannot win and, considering this, our peace is almost unreasonably fair, as was our offer before the entrance of the United Kingdom, France, and America.

If you refuse to take our offer, you will cease to exist and only further damage the lives of your people from additional war; already those in the eastern portions of Russia have decided not to fight for the Russian government. These rebellions will continue until Russia is either completely destroyed or until it has been taken over by a more reasonable and diplomatic element of its people. The Prussian Union would prefer this to happen because of the threat of future Russian invasions, but we consider first that our people will not benefit from continuing this war any longer than it has; as such, we urge you to accept this peace while you still have the ability to do so, for the good of your people and ours.

We have considered Sweden and its method of entrance into this war and decided that it no longer deserves to exist. We will accept no peace from and give quarter no too any man claiming to be a part of Sweden.

The Prussian Union is willing to accept a peace with Hungary at our present borders. Is this acceptable, or do you wish to be destroyed like your allies in Russia and Sweden?

Mexico is greatly alarmed at Prussia's declared objective, in seeking the annihilation of the Swedish people.

Prussia does not wish to annihilate the people of Sweden; we see it necessary, however, to eliminate any chances of a treachery such as Sweden committed during its entrance into the war. To accomplish this, we will utterly destroy the concept of being Swedish and the nation of Sweden in the minds of the Swedish people by conquering and then strictly regulating the entire nation.

Of course, we are fairly sure Mexico would disagree with even this, but it is a sight better than genocide. Then again, as Mexico refuses to join the war on any side, we would expect them to be squeamish about any such actions that we view as necessary to ensure that war is never again initiated between Prussia and Sweden.

Odd, considering Prussia and its allies asked Mexico to perform a similar, treacherous, sneak attack on the United States. If we had taken up Japan's offer, would our country and people deserve complete annihilation?

Prussia has no moral high-ground, so don't patronize us. It cannot pretend to fight a righteous war, it's own start being the treacherous sneak attack in pursuit of territorial conquest that it condemns Sweden for. It's only remarkable traits are its willingness to pursue this war even if it means the annihilation of an entire people: Russian, Prussian, Swedish, they don't care, and its constant entreaties to expand the war by bringing in uninvolved nations such as Mexico, Hungary and Japan.

You claim that you need to rid the world of Sweden as a necessity. Your memory must be quite limited as it was your nation and Finland who initiated this unprovoked war by sneak attacking Russia.

Sweden like any nation would felt threatened that 2 Nations in close proximity to it had aligned and gone on a rampage. As such we entered the war in order to attempt to restore the balance of power and end any possible threat against our nation.

Prussia has never before conversed diplomatically with Mexico and, if our allies approached you, that is their business, not ours. Also, we would suppose that America might find it necessary to end the existence of Mexico as a nation and a cohesive group of people to prevent future wars.

Prussia does not wish for a moral high-ground. Our actions are purely pragmatic in all situations. We do not deny our sneak attack, nor do we look at sneak attacks as, necessarily, a bad thing; we do, however, view Sweden's sneak attack upon Prussia as a threat to our continued security in the post-war years and, as such, we believe it necessary to properly punish Sweden and its people for their poor decision-making.

Prussia continues wars only when it knows it will win; their was no doubt in the minds of Prussia's government or its people that we would win this war at the beginning or at the end of last year. The Prussian people have never come close to annihilation, and we continue our string of victories even today.

And, on your last note, Japan has never been uninvolved in this war. Their signing of the Prusso-Japanese Pact essentially ensured that they would, eventually, end the war. If you were referring to China I do, of course, concede this point. The usefulness of bringing in other nation on the side of Prussia is undoubted; as you can see, we are winning purely through diplomatic strength, not through strength of arms.

To the Prussian Union, Sweden and Prussia are two very different situations. This is an obvious double standard, but we will uphold it. Sweden and its people will continue to threaten the security of the Prussian Union and its European allies until it has ceased to exist or, if it wishes to continue existence, it has agreed to a peace treaty that prevents it from ever again becoming a threat to the Prussian Union and its allies. If it were willing to bring forth and sign such a treaty, the Prussian Union would be more than willing to accept; until then, please leave us be.

From France

Prussia is our friend, and they will always remain our most loyal friend. The reason behind our departure from Prussia was the fact that Prussia is being ganged on by other nations looking for power while saving as many men as they can. These are the wimps.

We were more than willing to assist Russia. But with the arrival of USA and Britain, France feels Prussia is being picked on and chose to withdraw to give them a fair chance. Had USA or Great Britain not been power hogs and stayed out of the war we would have gladly continued the campaign for Russia.

Also, we occupied Berlin to keep Russia, USA, Great Britain or any other power in the war from occupying it and burning it to the ground. Should any nation attack Berlin, they will meet swift retaliation from the French.

The only nation that will currently pass Prussia on by is France, with which we are perfectly comfortable. America and the United Kingdom will have enough on their hands when it comes to fighting China, Japan, and Prussia that they will never be able to fight us with one hand tied behind their back because they are researching.

We are willing to allow Sweden to withdraw from the war with no penalties if you will agree to our treaty and they will agree to leave Finland. And this is our final offer for the moment.

@Lucky: Why did neither my army quality nor my air force quality increase?

And did my infrastructure spending have any effect?

OOC: Just realized this as I was looking at the stats.... and before anyone protests... *looks at D'Artangan* I am looking at this as a militaristic view.

France is the most powerfull nation in the world. They are also in the most powefull alliance in the world. Life is easy as a Frenchmen.
