We still haven’t got that signed deal back from you nudge nudge – but we thought we’d offer you a quick and easy tech trade that we think would be of great interest to you.

Here’s what we’d like to propose:

You provide us with Math (373 ) and we’ll give you Metal Casting (672 ).

We’d just ask that you promise not to trade around Metal Casting or Build the Colossus before turn 100. If you’re reciprocally concerned about the Hanging Gardens, we’d be willing to promise to not build them before turn 100 also.​

Basically, we don’t want to stay on the outside of a tech alliance, and are willing to offer outrageous deals if you’re willing to trade with us!

You're right, we probably should delay it under Cav talk with us and we have considered any new infomation, just to be safe. No reason to risk screwing up a possible chance at a good relationship occuring.

So with us closing in on an agreement with Saturn and MS researching Calendar, should we be trying to get in touch and see what sort of deal we can swing ... and whether we can get them to turn from the Dark Side?

TBH I'm quite tempted to...but we saw the extent to which MS and Cav are integrated with that tech trade, so I don;t think it'll be easy. I think the best method would be a joint approach from Saturn and us asking them to join in the alliance, instead of us unilaterally asking them, but I could well be wrong on that.

But we have to ask Saturn about asking another team to join the alliance anway, so perhaps this would be best added into the treaty email to Saturn first, so we can discuss methods between ourselves before taking the first step with MS?

I agree here...because we have an agreement in principal with Saturn, we need to run this by them before we move forward with direct communications with MS.

Saturn have already said that they would be interested in getting MS to join with us. Though LP also made comments about them not being responsive, and wondering whether it would even be worth it if we could, iirc.

He did do just that Dreylin. The reason I'd want to ask Saturn about this is that we are probably best off showing a unitied front, and that we can work together. To do that we do need to be talking with Saturn in the first place, and sorting out how we want to communicate this offer to MS.

MS are quite a weak team, with no one there that I would view as capable; our biggest problem isn't showing them that we want to work with them, or that we can work with them, it's getting them to post our proposal in their forum and talking about it.

So we are probably best off getting an entire proposal together with alot of details worked out, so the whole package can be sent to MS and they don't have to think too hard about working out the details, and instead they can think hard about joining us.

Agreed, and a good plan for going about it. Should be the first thing on the agenda with Saturn once we get our own alliance formalised.

First: We have to get everything locked down and signed with Saturn.
Second: Talk to Saturn about offering a deal to MS and get Saturn's express approval
Third: Offer a "complete package deal" as Krill said.

Do we want to ping them asking how interested they are in working with us? If we want to do anything on a decent time scale we need to start soon... We already have the approval of saturn and the alliance is squared away now...
