Mad Scientists Nest generation RPC Summary/Bullpen

its a gamble ol' mate... idd say, if we construct the internet: we win :P... jokes aside

hmm... manipulation others issnt the most easiest thing in Civ4 but, it would be entertaining with another espionage extraodinare? :P

but, head for diplomacy, peacekeeping, and UN...

No...build the Great Wall. The early Scot and spy points will by nice for full on Espionage beatdown.

Seems like Mr. Assange would have a little friction with the female leaders...no

Got the report on my computer, looks like my graphics card died (NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT) after less than 2 years (only had a 1 year warrenty from DELL). AH, so is life, I gotta wait until next week to get it back, I guess Julian will have to wait.

And how many hours of Civ did you log on that graphics card in two years? I think you probably got your money's worth! Take advantage of the upgrade opportunity! (Might have to sell some techs to the AIs for cash to support upgrade).

I have this idea, dunno if it would work as a RPC

You are the Worlds Defender of the Weak!

You have to be polite to everyone, trying to befriend all, however, should someone DOW a friend of yours, for rpc rules, a friend is considered a friend at pleased, you have to imidiadly come to the rescue.

If it is a friend of yours DOWing another friend of yours , you have to DOW the aggressor AND vassalize him/her, to keep them in a leash, since they have proven to be unstable for world peace.
Thus a Feudalism slingshot would help out tremendously to keep the Peace.

(For what its worth, I got DOWed in 750 BC by Julius in TMITs automatication worker try out , so you have to be prepared for early vassals)

About Peacevassals, none can be accepted, that would make it too easy :) However, if a war is ongoing, and a friend begs for your Protection, that is a whole different matter, you are after all Defender of the Weak

If it is a foe DOWing your friend, only complete annihialation is possible, to set an example for likeminded Villains.

Of course, should ANYONE be so stupid as to attack YOU, they are eternally doomed !
They need to be purged of the Landmass, and IF they have island/s , they are allowed as vassals, HOWEVER, their punishment for the uncalled for Attack on you, they are never allowed ANY resources whatsoever for the rest of the game, every time they get one, they need to imidiadly hand it over or face destruction.

My thoughts about who to play, is Julius of Rome, you may need the oomph of praets :), also the fast settlers, as you are not allowed to DOW first on anyone, EXCEPT aggressors (No early rush)

Just an idea, I know you played Chivalrous GW, but this has the opening to keep (even Boudica :) ) in a short leash

Kind regards from a long time lurker of your games

(btw, I apologize for incorrect gramma etc, english is not my first language :) )

Got my PC back with an updated video card only to find that my other 9 year old Dell bit the dust (no power). Had to rearrange the office to get the kids a printer for homework.

So expect a Julian Assauge RPC today or tomorrow.

Is Julian A Sausage?

Looking forward to it, Mad :woohoo:

MadScientist,

I've been lurking this forums for a few months and have been reading up on your series. It is very fun and I've been enjoying them.

May I make a request?

Just a thought for your next game. Your current game with espionage economy is very interesting, something that I have never tried to do myself. Even the shadow game and the video done by TheMeInTeam is very fun!

Thanks for a great series.

@Gwaja, I think mad has done something similar to those. I think he did a King Midas one, and Mansa Musa’s GREED is similar. And he’s done lots of religious ones. Check the old RFCs for the one you want.

:D

Oh really? I guess I haven't read up on ALL of his games, let alone the old series. I will have to check them out more thoroughly I suppose.

Playing a game roleplaying Gaddafi of Libya could be hilarious, IMO. Be an ass to everybody not on your continent, dominate the trade of a certain resource, try to diplovassalize everybody on your continent, unite your continent through diplomacy. Run monarchy, nationhood, organized religion, and mercentalism once you get the techs. Just shooting in the dark here.

I'd love to see u bring back some of the classic RPC's like the Sury and Ghandi, and to try them again, on different settings and rules.
I know it was mentioned already, Perhaps you could do a ladyGaga Rpc, She has to build broadway and Rn'R. She has to win a late game culture victory (excuse to use corps) or a domination win. Suggested leaders for LadyGaga Elizabeth or Hatti.
I lkie the Gaddafi of Libya idea aswell.:)

What about Atilla the Purifier or something like that where you take no vassals, and raze every one of AI's cities because he believes in the world populated by people with pure Hun blood. :) You basically pillage every AI tile improvements, raze all their cities, do not take capitulation, and only go for pure conquest. Just a thought. ^_^

I have to put my 2 cents in..
In the spirit of all thats going on in the world right now... how about something with oil?
A quest for a specific resource where you start without it, you wouldn't know where they are until a late date (which is no where close to your initial position), and will be held by crazy dictators close to achieving nukes?
