Mafia Hosting Queue

Update for my mafia:

Small Town Story (or whatever general name you want).

Host: Jarema
Number of Players: 20 (can be scaled for 16-25, but preferably 20)
First time host: Yes.
Game reviewed by ATPG, after changes rated as 'playable'
Progress: 100%
It would be fairly "normal" mafia game... if I find participants for a game without too much flavour in it. It is going to be setting-free, content-independent, unflavourfull game. Lot of peoples would have no special role, just simple townies... for sure, there would NOT be a special role for everybody. No individual goals, only group victories.
Mechanics included: wound system, gender informations.

I would like to host this game in second half of April, or at May (now I do not have too much time)
 
Starcraft Mafia

Announcing a small game, high-octane action, individual roles and some new mechanics. Title easily subject to change, a couple ideas but they are also spoilerish for now and depending on some other things.

Host: Earthling
Number of Players: 15-20, 16-19 preferable.
First Time Host: No
Progress: 90%. Most roles are worked out as are mechanics and rules, came together rather fast but simple to understand for any player and should be fun. Happy to have anything reviewed by someone not interested or not planning to play. As a short small game I'll have time to host it someday down the line, no particular hurry.

Game setting/concept is a bit silly and suspension of disbelief will be required, won't have to be heavy on roleplay. All players will be units from the Starcraft game. There could be multiple factions or victory conditions and each player will have a personal goal but it's generally Town vs Mafia. Don't expect abilities or other traits to be predictable, however, lots of new or interesting surprises. Players will have a race between Terran, Protoss, Zerg, and unique perks and upgrades that go with each race apply to all players of a race. The Mafia could be of any race alignment. No private communication but there are related racial abilities to be detailed with the game setup later.

This can go in place of the Diplomacy Mafia, and the Diplomacy Mafia can go in place of the HHGTTG Mafia (which can go to the bottom of the list). I'd like to place dibs on hosting this game in July, because that's when I'll be available to do so.

A Song of Ice and Gunfire
A Westeros Mafia (not involving guns at all, the name just worked :p)



(Has an A Song of Ice and Fire Mafia ever been done? I'd be interested in hosting one if there hasn't been one. It's going to be a large game if the concept of a Westeros-based Mafia game is a new one.)

This is in planning stages and I have a nice list of possible characters. There were 109 on the list as the books suffer from the 'Russian novel problem' quite severely (doesn't stop them being great books, but there are a lot of characteers to keep track of).

However, I have shortened the list and the game is now for 43 players.

Each 'house' will have an Assassin who takes the role of serial killer. The Mafia houses and the Good and Neutral ones alike all have an Assassin.

Each house knows the identity of its other members. The game will be balanced to account for smaller houses' disadvantages.

List of Houses:

House Baratheon (Good) (the real ones, not Jaime and Cersei's; Assassin is Davos Seaworth)
House Stark (Good) (Assassin is Jaqen H'ghar)
House Targaryen (Good) (Assassin is Jorah Mormont)
Night's Watch (Good) (Assassin is Qhorin Halfhand)
House Lannister (Mafia) (Assassin is Jaime Lannister)
House Greyjoy (Mafia) (Assassin is Theon Greyjoy)
Wildlings (Mafia) (Assassin is The Weeper)
House Arryn (Neutral) (Assassin is Petyr Baelish)
House Martell (Neutral) (Assassin is Oberyn Martell)

for a total of 9 houses.

Any suggestions for improving my concept are welcome.
(All of this information will be available at or near the start of the game anyway, so this post contains zero spoilers)

I'd be available to host this anytime from about the beginning of May onwards.

EDIT2: Just read the first post, I will leave this until I've played in a mafia game. This is slightly variant, so perhaps playing an actual game will help bring this a little more into line with other games. However my offer still stands, if you do need a large mafia game let me know anytime. :)

Update 1:
-I have the general info about the game. It is going to be a hybrid of a mafia game, and Zack's Academy game (mainly because it's Dragon Ball Z :p). I have the basic characters: Goku, Gohan, Freiza, Krillin, Bulma, Tein, Yamcha, Broly, Cell, Trunks, Vegeta, Raditz ect........ but that's about it right now.......

Update 2:
-More characters, some roles, and some attacks of the characters. Not sure where to start the HP and energy levels at though (the STARTING HP and energy levels will be the same for every character)
 
A new queue thread needs to be created, or someone needs to somehow take over this one. If you are up to the task, send me a PM.
 
I'm not up to the task currently, but there's no need to create a new thread, a new post(s) can be created up front for a new owner.
 
I know that it may be re-arranged/closed, but I want to announce anyway that I will like to host a game for 24 players at the end of july.
The game would be called "Four Virgins" and will include some atypical mechanics.
The main twist would be that there would be four special town roles: "virgins" (you know, it would be fantasy setting). If they are all killed, town will automatically loss.
Also, the setup would be "semi-open": all participants would know that there are 4 mafia members, and one serial killer, and 19 townies.

Virgins that will soon become pure priestessess of Great Goddess. They have special power as long as they are chaste.
Townies want to have them alive at day 13 (game will end after night 12); mafia - in fact cult of god of murder and despair - wants to make bloody virgin sacrifices, and SK - in fact rather local psychopath/pervert - wants to "unmake their virginity"

There would be 1 point per virgin - mafia scores if it kills one, SK if he causes one to stop being a virgin, and a town gains 1 point per virgin that town have at day 13.

Of course, there will be some more complications, but in fact it would be fighting for this 4 points between 3 sides

This is a mafia game featuring the characters of the 2005 Doctor Who's first four seasons series. As far as mechanics go, there are five (or six by some definitions) different 'factions'. Being a new host, I have the basic info ready to be sent out if this needs to be reviewed for balance.
 
Take Biology off the queue. I'm just not feeling it.

TF2: Mafia Edition

Host: Skwink Caesar

Number of players: 25

First time host: Yep.

Progress: 100%

This would be based upon the Arena game mode of TF2. The Red team is a mix of classes, and some classes have a special ability. The Blu team is a small number of spies, who are pretending to be Red's. At night a Spy will try to backstab a Red. Then they cloak and run. In the day, the Red's try to decide, in a democratic fashion, who to kill that day. and of course, they want to kill the spies. (a glitch let's Team killing happen) It's a fairly basic Mafia game with a TF2 skin. (no hats included)
 
guys, when you host for a first time, fond someone to look at it - for me for example ATPG's remarks were really helpful - without them my game would be severly unbalanced
