The best mod I've ever, ever played. Seriously. A big "thanks" from me for this great piece of work to everyone who's taken part in realizing it, especially the maestro itself of course, Afforess. :)

I really wish you could transport AND's gameplay depth and pure genius into a similar Civ V mod. That would be truly awesome ... till that day I will stay with the NiGHTS-mod when playing Civ V, a mod that's on a good track so far I think.

Is this not possible with the current version of RAND??

I play RoM and use the Earth 18 map with preset Civ positions. I would like to know if this is also the case for RAND??

cheers,

Umit

there's a map scenario in another thread, and i'm actually playing on it. if i get find it ill post the link, but you may find it its in this forum

Why can't I see all maps that comes with this mod? in the privatemaps folder I see a lot of different for maps but in the game I can only choose few..

which latest ROM version is the most stable one if i want to play a huge earth map scenario with 20-30 present civs without revolution.

i don't play custom games because i like starting in real starting locations for civs and resources. i tried playing A New Dawn, but they don't have any real earth maps under scenarios.

thanks.

i am playing ROM 2.91+AND 1.75h because i am playing the clash of the civilizations scenario (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=363207). is there any way to turn off the revolution thing when playing a scenario?

i know you have options to turning it off when playing custom game, but can someone pls let me know how to turn if off/disable the revolution addon when playing a scenario. ex: can i edit an xml file to disable it if its impossible to do it in game.

thanks.

Its in the CivilizationIV.ini file for the game your playing.

Game Options
GameOptions = 000101100001000000010000001000111111010000001100010110011111111111

Example of my current game.

Open it up in a text editor, and you'll see the game options, instead of 6 for standard BTS, you'll have over 20 1's and 0's.

Now start a new game with the same scenario, and count down the options till you find the revolutions option.

For example, its option number 15, go back to your Civ IV.ini file, Change that from 0 to 1 or 1 to 0 as the case maybe, and now revolutions are disabled (or enabled)

How's the development going? Any news?

Sorry antman, there is only the Civic work being done by Civthusiast (sp).

Afforess is no longer working on the mod. He has walked away from AND and CIV, per our last EM.

Actually both Rise of Mankind and A New Dawn authors have stopped working on their respective mods. Zappara left over a year ago and has not been heard from since. Afforess stopped in August on any further work on AND.

two of the most sensitive losses due to the civ5 debacle, I guess...

Long live Shafer!

(but please, let him live away, faaar away... from civ, at least)

Question:
How exactly do sea tunnels work. I have yet to be able to get them to work!
Aren't they supposed to act as roads for normal land units as well?

Someone please explain?

matrix when you get the right science you need to unlock it. you use your work boats to build them from one land to other.

I'm not trolling or anything, but it just struck me that this is an expansion of a mod of an expansion of a game that is a sequel of a sequel of a sequel of a game that is based off of a board game that was released in 1980...

Food for thought.

Mmmm.......tasty tidbits.....

Thank you and Zappara for this mod. This is what civ was supposed to be all along.
