There is a new exploitative reality based special airing this week. It comes from Fox, the network that after the "Who Wants To Marry A Multi-Millionaire" fiasco claimed "no more exploitative reality based programming."

Man vs Beast.

Is this one of the stupidest ideas ever, or just another day at Fox? Or are they one and the same ...

These ideas will continue their downward plunge into infinite patheticness, until they finally stop making money. Then the process will begin again along some other "lowest-common-denominator" line.

I am ashamed to be a Simpsons fan simply because I have to admit liking something shown on Fox. I usually take the ethical position that the human ability to exploit one another's weaknesses hasn't changed a whit in 3000 years of recorded history. Only the enabling technologies have changed. This is an instance where I'd really like to be proven wrong.

Looks really ******** to me. I won't watch it.
Let me know if that guys beats the bear in the hot dog eating contest though. I'd like to submit my dog as the next challenger for the "beast" team.
He's just a little forty pound runt, but turn your back on something he considers people food of any quantity, and it is gone in .004 seconds. :)

Never be ashamed to be a Simpsons fan! Its one of the greatest shows ever made, and still makes me laugh! Of course, Fox does have some pretty crappy shows but some are still (or were) funny like Futurama, Malcom in the Middle, Titus (SHOULD not of been canceled!) and the show that had little baby Stewy that was bent on world dominitaon but i cant remember the shows name.

Actually, it seems that everytime I find a show on T.V. they cancel the show and put some reality crapola over its time slot. And of course, for some reason 20 million people watch it!

Like this new show :P

Family Guy? I'm not a fan but I've seen an episode. Anyway the Man vs Beast thing sounds cool but I have better things to watch (Gilligan's Island, Beverly Hillbillies).

Oh my, another round of 'man is great'

notice what contests and what participants they picked? it is like the test where the Ferrari outraced a jet - over 800 meters! The jet had to throttle down so it wouldnt take off

let that gal run from a crocodile :mwaha: it will eat her alive!

The show seems to have a similar aura that the Jerry Springer Show had. It is worthless to the core, but so outrageous that people watch.

I mean, seriously. They are going to have 50 midgets pull a jumbo-jet farther than an elephant. What is that supposed to prove? But it sounds like a laugh. :)

Maybe for their next show they'll put humans through the everyday trials of animals such as beauty product testing, living in a tiny cage from conception to slaughter, oil spills and clear-cutting the 'burbs.

Let's just hope somewhere in this world the personwho came up with this script has his ankles bitten off my beavers, this is just so mind numbingly stupid that I cannot fathom as to why anybody would enjoy this show....but then again I give up easily! But I digress this show will be a big success for Fox and a monumental disaster for mankind as a whole

as long as ****** people watch it, it will produce money and money is all what FOX (and other companies) looks for.

I dont watch TV :)

well, I do, but not very often.

Only fox would dare to bring back explotation of the "vertically challenged!" :yeah:
