I assume it's a reference to Kazan Wildland Park in Alberta, but my recommendation would be to change it to Athabasca.

EDIT: Also, quick note that it should be Andaman, not Adaman for the province between India and Myanmar.

Some suggestions for North America

St Lawrence -> Canada
The historical name of that region, no question. It was the region Cartier named Canada, the colony of Canada within New France, and again the Colonies of Upper and Lower Canada and later United Canada/The Canadas under the British. It's only after the purchase of the Hudson Bay territory by Canada that the name extendedbeyond that. Granted, Cartier was misunderstanding the natives when he picked the name, but all the same, it is the historical name of that region.

Kazan -> Athabasca
As others have noted, lake Athabasca is the dominant feature of that region, and really the name most associated with it. Historically, it's also the name of an administrative district that largely corresponded to the region as part of the territories of Canada.

Ontario -> Keewatin
An Ontario that doesn't touch lake Ontario makes no sense - the province is named for the lake. The Keewatin district is a historical region that at various times covered parts od northwestern Ontario, Manitoba and Nunavut and pretty much included every single tile in that province at some point.

Québec -> Ungava
Same problem as above: The province of Quebec is named for Quebec City, named itself for the narrowing of the St Lawrence at Quebec City - all of which are in another territory. Much of the region was in the former district of Ungava, named for the bay at its northern end, so a better choice.

I agree with Evie's suggestions, but just wanted to say that for the current Ontario province, Hudson Bay (Sinus Hudsonius) or Rupert's Land (Terra Ruperti) could also work.

Rupert's land covers a much larger area (it would include Saskatchewan, Ungava, and parts of Nunavut, Athabasca, and Baffin too); not ideal.

Hudson Bay is a little better (though large parts of Ungava are also Hudson Bay), but I would generally prefer the name of indigenous origin (Keewatin, north wind (sometimes given as land of the north wind or blizzard of the north) in Cree languages) to the one not.

It includes Georgia and Sandwich islands, right? Maybe South Atlantic Islands? Not a big deal, of course, here we are just a bit sensitive about it.

They'll need a grouped release, as I use a territory hash to ID the map (meaning each time I update some territory index/size on the map, I need to recalculate that hash and reference it in the mod)

I'll do a release once we have named all territories.

I've no idea how that's possible, but I've lost all my progress on territory redrawn from yesterday evening :mad:

And I save quite often, there was 20(!) different versions saved since I've started redrawing from SeelingCat suggestions. But none saved after yesterday 1PM... I think it's not a lot of work lost, but how can I have exited without saving ? :undecide:
