Marijuana legal in Canada?

Watched it, loved it!:) Yeah, but consuming and selling seeds in your own country is no offense whatsoever but making money with them in a country where the cops will haunt you and therefore the people have no fluent supply of it (so you'll gain really much money) is not smart. IMO, don't extradite him, he should be judged by a Canadian court and by Canadian laws.

Ah, but the point was to sell so much to the United States to overwhelm their government and force it to legalize.

No one in the history of the world has cultivated more marijuana than Mark Emery. No one is more responsible for as much of the growth of marijuana in the United States as Mark Emery.

ok, i feel like i'm shouting int he wilderness, but doesn't that bother you? Changing law should be done via legal manner, NOT subverting people by playing their basest instincts..

I'm agreeing with Mowque on this one! What was the actual motivation for Emery to alter the laws of a foreign nation? If I understood this correctly, he's the leader of political organisation in Canada which is vigorously attempting to get rid of an useless and counter-productive law, which is fair and good. But he definitely crossed the red line when he became intermingled with US issues. But everybody is up to his own choice. The "social experiment" of Emery (as I like to call it) has shown that there is a huge demand in the US to marijuana and all it's associates like hash or seeds. The US government should really reconsider the advantages and disadvantages of an all-out prohibition. Didn't they learn from the prohibition of alcohol in the 20's? You can't enforce a law when it's against the will of a majority of your own populace (well, atleast not in a democratic country).

not legal, just not...ILLEGAL to smoke a certain amount.

based on cops I know, some would confiscate for personal use ;) and others would tell you put it out till im not looking and walk on. unless you even THINK of driving.

He broke no laws in Canada, never stepped foot into America. The people who broke the law were those importing the seeds.

... but yes, at the end of the day, it's an issue of poking a sleeping bear with a stick and then being outraged when it mauls you.

The arctic isn't much colder than where I live... it's just that cold all winter, not for a week here and there during winter. I just walked to the store... it's -27 with a bit of wind. Yesterday, we had a -40 windchill. Toronto is a weebit warmer than where I live, Montreal is about the same. I'd advise visiting in the winter; you gotta know what you're getting into. I moved here too and that's just about the best advice I could give.
