I feel like Galaxy at War is one of those theoretically great ideas like the online campaign for Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge that might turn out to be anemic, making me quite sad.

Call me old fashioned, but coop to me means 2 people in the same room, with the other person generally being a friend of yours (barring random drunken party gaming).
It doesn't. Montreal is the studio that's developing the co-op campaign (which does not feature Shepard; you can play as the Council races plus krogan, name your character, and so forth), so it doesn't take programmers or writers "away" from developing the single-player campaign. (Which was the worry everybody had about multiplayer before it was announced, although a few bright sparks noted that Montreal was working on something mysterious before co-op was announced.)
No? Have they confirmed you actually have to have it running to play ME3? (You "need" it for BF3 even though it only uses it for updates, your Origin friend's list is pointless since you have a separate one for Battlelog anyway).

Define spyware though? What are these spywares supposed to do? Do they just send the type of PC I have to the company? Is it always active checking out what websites I'm going on? Does it send an e-mail about my tentacle-porn folder to my boss and sends my financial records to the IRS? What does it do?
It hasn't had any that your X-Box doesn't have either (until Origin, and that is until EA is probably forced to change their EULA section about sharing your information with third parties).

Pretty sure. Priestly claims that the Origin issue is "pending clarification" in the largest Origin thread in the ME3 subforum; if you've seen it in an FAQ, it's speculative.
From a video of the leaked xbox360 demo (which is hilariously unfinished so there is no point in actually watching it, also spoilers (that we already sort of know).
There are three game modes, two of which are completely silly and only help perpetuate the stereotype that console gamers are dumb.
Action Mode automatically chooses story conversations, normal difficulty and "maximizes action". (Why the hell would anyone want to choose this? It isn't like it is difficult to quickly pick the story options and skip through the dialogue). Story Mode enables the easiest combat difficulty (why not just choose easy in the options?). RPG Mode is the normal/how it should be game mode with normal difficulty.
The video chooses Story Mode and then after choosing his name (and what has yet to be added, character profile/face stuff I assume) is taken to an options screen where you can choose the difficulty, conversation choice level and various other game options. This makes offering the three different modes completely pointless since it seems you can change all of the settings they set anyway. Also apparently "United States" is now a language.
