If you are not picky about nicknames, that great. It's good that you can be that flexible. Unfortunately, I am not. What's wrong with it? I have no idea, except that it is not me. It's not the name I have chosen to use for this venue, nor is it a name I would ever choose to be known as. Whether it's a girl's name or not is irrelevant, as it's not me. Also, I'm not a Duck, and I hate having water on me in that way (yes, I know it's a metaphor and not meant literally, but I'm just not flexible in that way either). If you can't respect my preferences for something this personal, then that speaks to your failings, not mine.

You also need to realize besides real life we are working on the game too. Which I think is a bit more important than the multiplayer game.

Jeez Joe... drink some water, breath, make sure your blood sugar levels are good I'm generally with you on this one but it's not going to help our case if we get all irate about it. Personally, I really enjoy the slow pace of these games. Kinda makes the passage of time feel even more epic somehow. I'm pleased with my own personal progress and look forward to each and every round. This game is already on its 23rd turn so I'd say we're doing pretty good! Yes, the faster everyone takes their turn the better our progress rate, but as long as we don't get stuck for days on one person, I'm happy.

But I Do take exception to this.

I may have overreacted there on the last sentence. I often have a difficult time (even when talking directly to people) with figuring out the intent behind something said, and this is often more difficult in this context (forums) when I cannot hear tone of voice, inflection, see body language, etc. It seemed to me that your post was you saying that if you couldn't understand the reason that you were flatly refusing to use what I consider to be a proper nickname. Apparently I misunderstood you, and I apologize for any insult as a result thereof.

I won't ask you to spell out the entirety of "MagnusIlluminus" (which is technically the name I chose for this venue) each time, as even I tire of spelling out the whole thing too often. I consider "Magnus" to be the acceptable abbreviation for it. Thank you for your consideration.
