Yes.

They almost always do, so apparently I do care if they match.
Do you like socks?
Generally, yes. I wear them most of the time. Occasionally barefoot in the house, but overall, yes, I like socks.

Not really.
When was the last time you bought socks?
Most recently received them the last week of 2007.
Do you buy your own socks or does someone buy your socks for you?
Still young enough it's been my parents. Eventually my current ones will wear out and I'll have to buy some.
Have you ever received socks as a gift?
Yes; for Christmas this year. I figured Dumbledore had a good idea with asking for socks for Christmas.

Do you have a lot of the same kind of socks?
There's five styles, but they all fall into either black socks or white socks. So essentially the same kind. I suppose some are longer and some shorter.
Are your socks in good condition?
Most of them are in quite good condition at the present time.
Do you prefer short or long socks?
Medium.
Do you wear socks with sandals?
Not usually, but once in a while. I tend to wear socks in the house so sometimes when I go outside I just slip on sandals with socks still on.
Where do you keep your socks?
Top dresser drawer. Or under my bed, if not at college.
Do you have a favorite sock?
Nope.
Do you do anything with socks other than put them on your feet?
I wash them. Occasionally put one on a hand when I'm bored and there's nothing else to play around with. Several years ago my sister and I made an indoor baseball game with rolled-up socks.

Enough to last about three weeks, perhaps slightly longer.
What do you do when you lose a sock?
Set the matchless sock aside in the drawer until I lose another.

Wherever the janitor puts it.

White. Plain and boring, I know.

Not like much of anything. Which is probably a good thing.

If it got hopelessly dirty. Which happens occasionally when I go creeking and fall in the creek.

I wear white socks with my general-purpose tennis shoes and black socks with my fancier shoes.
Where do you put your socks right after you take them off?
Right beside the bed. They make their way to the dirty clothes pile in the closet eventually.

When I was young I always did, but recently I can't sleep with socks on (unless I'm totally exhausted). So these days, no.
Don't you hate it when you're wearing socks and no shoes and you step in a puddle?
That hasn't happened recently since I always wear shoes when I wear socks and go outdoors. But it is usually kind of annoying when I step in a puddle and my worn-out shoes let water in.
Have you ever removed stains from your socks?
Not other than what normal washing them does.
How often do you wash your socks?
After about a day of wearing them most often.
Do you have a pet that hides your socks?
No.
Where is the weirdest place you've ever found a sock?
Never really gave much thought to it before. Guess it hasn't been too crazy.

White socks with a blue stripe at the toes that are of the longest type I own, which is pretty long - if I stretched them they would nearly reach my knee. They are fairly new and in good condition, but have been worn before.

My socks match, I'm practically paranoid if they don't, and find it weird when my friends don't match theirs. Mine are almost all white, its the way you do things. I hate losing socks.

You all think a lot more about socks than me...
All dark so they kind of match, except for the strange ones that I have no idea where they came from.
If I'm wearing shorts then the socks get folded down round my heel. I'm kind of disturbed that you all give socks this much consideration.

I've got only a few types of socks: Plain white cotton ones for work/everyday use (I work at a gym, so they aren't out of place), black ones to go with my black suit and black shoes, and big, thick grey and red wool ones that go on when it's really cold.
Question about sock etiquette: I also have a white suit. If I'm wearing black shoes with said white suit, what color socks do I wear?

My socks always match. Wearing socks that don't match is antisocial or worse. I usually wear grey socks unless I'm dressing up. I go barefoot in the house. My wife is in charge of family sock purchases and sock logistical matters. My dog ignores socks and goes for underwear.

About 5 years ago, I threw out all my white socks. I then bought 36 pairs of the exact same white sock. So all my socks match. I then did the same thing with my black socks.
At that point, I make sure my socks match with regards to colour.

This thread is so old, my sock-wearing habits have changed. I got rid of all the white socks except the aforementioned 6 then-new pairs; I stopped wearing white socks to work, replacing them with tan and navy blue socks. Right now, any 2 socks of the same general color are complete matches.
