Math04: Another 100K

NC3 doesn't need the cattle: 2 game + 4 hills = high production. NC2 is in RCP with Madras and NC3.

:bump:
namliaM, you're up...

Bombay is not to produce culture. Delhi, Madras, and the three planned cities will be our culture cities.

Just a thought: After two settlers (for NC2 and NC3), we may want Bombay as a worker factory for a bit.

I agree but do you think it can squeeze out 2 settlers w/o wasting too many shields/food? I mean w/o the other cities going settlers/workers we have to be very efficient with this city.

I'm thinking Bombay may do well as a 5-turn settler factory until we get into republic. I'll count it...

I think 1st priority is getting the 5 culture cities to get temples and possibly libs as fast as possible to get the age bonus. Then get 1 more settler and use both bombay and the extra city for worker farms, to get the culture cities improved and maybe even join workers for growth.

Granary should be done in 7 turns (31s + 4s*4 + 5s*3) One worker should road the cattle, then mine the irrigated grass. The other worker should step to irrigate, then road the other cattle.

We should then be able to complete a settler in 5 turns, followed by a second settler in 4 turns. Bombay would then be set for 2-turn worker factory at size 4, or 2 settlers every 9 turns while in despotism.

Five-turn settler:
size 4: +5 food, 5 shields (5/6)
to size 5: 7 shields (7/8; 12 total)
size 5: +5 food, 6 shields (6/7; 18 total)
to size 6: 8 shields (8/9, 26 total)
size 6: +5 food, 7 shields (7/8, 33 total)

Four-turn settler:
to size 5: 7 shields (7/8)
size 5: +3 food, 8 shields (8/9, 15 total)
size 5: +3 food, 8 shields (8/9, 23 total)
to size 6: 9 shields (9/10, 32 total)

id think the 2-turn worker factory would be good, as their will be times that we cant build any culture, and can squeeze a settler here and their. Good math Math. :)

Temple, then wonder. Library can wait. If we build library first, then miss out on a wonder...

Maybe not, but we can discuss that further after your turns, as the first settler won't be completed until the next turnset. Please play.

I think I goofed on Bombay thought 5fpt was enough so i mined the second cow!

Is it me or? RCP doesnt work right? You probably mean OCP....

I still dont know about the placing of City 3. It does look like the better place around...

It would be nice to find some elephants near... To get SoZ...

Sigh... I had this same problem in my first SG. I give simple instruction for worker actions, yet the workers go out and do something entirely different. I just don't get it.

Anyway, BNH is up. Please try to get Bombay close to what I posted.

Ill try my best, but this kind of thing isnt my specialty. Would you rather play a few turns to get it rolling again and pass it off to me?

How about I play this turnset, and put you in the roster for the next?

Roster

Alright take it.

OK, roster is set then. Got it.

Inca have Mathematics, but wont trade it for Writing. It is evident that some of our rivals are getting close to Writing, so we must trade while we can. Besides, we deserpately need the cash.
Trade: Writing to China for TW, IW, Myst, and 25 gold (He's obviously not studying Writing... probably HR)
Sell Writing to:
. Inca for 85 gold
. America for 43 gold
. Aztecs for 25 gold
. Byzantines for 10 gold

I left the warrior active near Bangalore so you'd be aware of the barbarian camp. I do not recommend attacking it.

Next turn, you'll need to move citizen off of forest in Bombay for growth. Settler will complete when new citizen is put on forest. Bombay can then begin two-turn workers. The new settler needs to build a city where we can begin to produce some military. West of Delhi, one tile south of the game forest, looks good to me.

I suggest Lahore build Warrior >> Worker >> Temple with the worker clearing a forest.

Worker roading silks should road east, then clear forest for Calcutta

Two workers cutting forest near Bangalore complete this turn. Both build roads, then group to build mines.
