Medieval European Mod II 2016-10-05

Thanks alot for the quick response guys. Well' this is bizzare. There was no AMA folder in the conquest/art/units/directory but there was in my civ 3//art/units/directory directory. However, the folder was empty  In fact all the army folders are empty!! I guess I'll try a fresh install of the game :mischief:

Got it!!:D Once again thanks for the fast replies and thanks a million to Yoda and ED for this outstanding mod. The only thing I can make of it is that maybe the original civ 3 (I got the original collectors version in the tin box when it came out) maybe didn't have armies at the time? I don't recall. I thought in vanella the AI had armies too. Anyway I deleted civ 3 for a time while playing civ 4, and since I wanted to try this mod, I reinstalled using the original vanella disk with no patches. Regardless when I reinstalled it today I used a newer civ 3 patched disk ($10.00 bargain bin I bought for a back up} and low and behold my army folders have stuff in them. Time to go midieval on some Beserkers

I have recently downloaded and played your mod and thought it was wonderful. I was surprised that there wasn't a "with cities" version. So I went in and made one...I have an atlas that portrays the world from 600 A.D to 1492 and I filled in all the cities each civ has (except the Rus), since according to my atlas Kiev was the only important city in Western Russia. No idea why there weren't more, but I tried my best. Oh! And the Khazars and the Tartars...they are a little off as well.

Would you guys mind terribly if I posted it for you or something along that line? All it is, is each city placed with a culture of 10, some 11 to give the countries their borders. No units were placed, nor improvements...

? Would it be okay?

Well, I won't stop you from just posting a map, but if you have nothing except Kiev in Russia, then your atlas and map aren't very accurate... and as I said just a couple of posts above, there's already a "with-cities" version (including Rus/Tatars/Khazars - screenshots here) but I didn't post it since I want it tested/balanced. I'll post it right after a 1.1 patch that changes the BIQs, which is matter of a week or two.

No, Kiev isn't the only Rus city. It's the only one that I'm 100% sure its in the right place. Well, I guess I won't bother, its your mod. I just hope that you do make the borders right and don't leave them and not "culturize" them.

By the way, thanks from another person. Never seen anything better. I'd've tried to post a screenshot to show you what I did with the Rus but I have no clue how... so w/e, not like its really that important. :woohoo:

I wouldn't mind testing it if you need some volunteer ;)
And as for the version 1.1. I hope one of the major changes involves assassins! My second change would be as I said some modification to the armies, but that didn't have the same reaction and backup the assassin issue did :p

I have to open paint and hit control v then. Don't tell me youv never taken a screenie.

I have, that`s why they are confusing me with pressing the "shift" or "Ctrl C" with Print Scrn.

And then go trought the Paint procedure.

But in Morrowind its easier, it makes a folder and just pastes jpegs there, without the Paint hassle. I was hoping it had to do with the keyboard commands, not the game itself.

No it's the game itself. Ive never played morrowind for Pc befor only xbox.

Taking screenshots with paint is just an unnecessary chore. Google Gadwin or something.

It takes less than 2 seconds.

After playing this mod fully. I did notice some problems

-A game with no accellerated production is almost impossible to reach the Rennisance Era Alone without running out of time.

-After discovering compass. You still sink in high seas. even if it claims your allowed to move through it

-The Seas and High Seas are almost impossible to tell the difference. that i wounded up sinking by accident.

1) I usually reach the last age with no trouble, and I never even tried a game with AP. What map and difficulty do you play on?

2) Navigation gives travel over high sea tiles, not Compass (it's a mistake if the pedia states otherwise)

3) In Snoopys terrain that's a bit true. I'm not sure there's anything we can do about it and still keep the terrain though.

Keep the terrain, keep the terrain!!!

Also, I noticed the 'High sea' tile in the editor and guessed it was for some sort of american conquest scenario, however now I think it was just for the random map...
