Medieval European Mod II 2016-10-05

I played as the Byzantines and they were actually really fun, no civ is like them and you get a really nice start. I usually always play as the turks. :) For my next game I'll probably be wallachia. :)

The mod is great, and the new map is lots of fun. But I get a crash once I build the Wallachian Principality wonder as Wallachia.
Sorry, what did I do to break the mod?

Same thing happened to me. I don't know anything about civ III modding so I have no idea how to fix it.

The map with Wallachia was a seperate thing that wasn't really tested and there you go ;) I removed the link temporarily. The mod and standard maps are unaffected of course.

EDIT: Fixed. To the people that downloaded the "MEM Western Europe" map - please download again, sorry for the inconvenience! Unzip it again to your Conquests/Scenarios and it shall be fine.

What about adding the Hafsids to North africa on the Western Europe map?

I'd love to see the teutonic knights too. :)
I saw their "entry" in the civilopedia. :)

Just gave myself a little sample taste of Wallachia in the Western Europe Scenario. Good job again guys. Love the leaderhead, and it's always fun to see another bearer of one of my favorite and probably underrated trait combos, Militaristic/Industrious.

You guys have a golden egg laying goose with this mod; it just keeps generating goodness and fun.

I can see what way this is heading..

Thanks for the new patch, it's a good update!! I had a game as the Byzantines on the random map last night and thoroughly enjoyed it :) .

What is Heavy Armour  Shouldn't it be Plate Armour?

Heavy Armour is an armour that is heavy :mischief: The term was chosen because plate armour was used mainly in Western Europe, while heavy infantry and cavalry in Russia, Byzantium and the Middle-East used mail+lamellar armour etc.

Good to see the Great Horde stomping over Europe :D

I also think that plate armor didn't become widely used until the renaissance.

Nah, plate became more and more common starting in the 13th cntury. And the form that it took at that time was similar to the lamellar, scale and splint mail of the East. So it fits.

You might be thinking of "Full Plate" which did start in the 15th century and hardly had any exposed mail.

The new patch looks fantastic!!! I'm so pissed I can't play it here (I'm not in my city...). :wallbash:

BTW I can't wait to play with the new map too. Both the Papal States and Wallachia seem great (to me :p) to play!!

No, but there will be one today or tomorrow. I recommed trying out the Large clean Euro map first though.
