Medieval European Mod II 2016-10-05

Nice work Yoda Power and Embryodead! I must say this mod is by far the best I have ever seen for civ3!

Only one little thing I noticed when trying the new version, floodplains give only 2 food (+1 with irrigation, same as grassland), is this on purpose? I don´t remember it being so in previous versions but I might have forgotten.

bug notice: Started a game as Ifriq (sp?) and went to build the governorate of Ifriqiya, but the pediaicons entry for the wonder splash (something like WON_SPLASH_BLDG_GW_Emirate_of_Damascus) is reported as missing.

Fixed. This was only a problem with Mediterranean map so that's the only file that needs to be re-downloaded. Thanks

My first post here, but I'm a longtime lurker/downloader. I love MEM II, but I am not able to play the 11th and 13th century scenarios. Whenever I try to play them, I can choose a civ, but when the game loads, the progress bar gets about 4/5 of the way through. There is a black screen which shows the interface (Name of empire, gold, minimap, etc.), but the rest of the screen is black. When I alt-tab, it says that the program is not repsonding.

I can play the regular version of MEM II, as well as the Hundred Years War and the Crusades scenrios, but not the 11th and 13th century scenarios, which have pre-placed cities (which is what I want to play the most...go figure...Murphy was an optimist...). I have the current patch for Conquests, and have the updated version of MEM II. I put the scenarios in the Conquests/Scenarios folder. Has anyone else experienced this problem? My computer isn't the best, but I can play Dawn of War II (if thast means anything to anyone...lol). Is my computer struggling to load everything and freezes, or is there another problem?

This is normal with large Civ3 Scenarios. All you have to do is wait (and not alt-tab) for ~10 minutes. This applies only to starting the scenario, reloading and waiting between turns is the same as if you played on the clean map.

Finaly!
Lithuania civ :) wyyyy!

Note: when I start as Lithuania, I am robbed by barbarians before the 1st worior is created. So, I am pillaged to 0 $ always. Is this supposed to be that way?

PS. I would have used other Grand Duke, not Jogaila for Lithuania. Jogaila was grand duke of Lithuania AND the king of Polen at the same time. Historically Lithuania had only one king - Mindaugas.
Well thanks anyway.

It is also hard to find what does the "sacrafice slave" means. I could find the explanation only on civ description page. Some links and entries in civilopedia would be useful eg. next to slave or worker actions.

@ashen god

Sacrifice works just like in normal Civ3:Conquests (e.g. Mesoamerican one) and is explained in the Civilopedia under the "Ritual Sacrifice" entry.

I know Jogaila isn't the perfect leader - but he had a peculiar face that was fun to create as leaderhead + I'm Polish so I'm biased ;)

Yes, there is a barbarian camp near Lithuanian starting place so you get pillaged - but you get a free slave from it so I'd say it evens out.

Um why is it that I can't set my tech research below 30%? If I do it bounces straight back to 30% the next turn. Had this occur in two different 11th Century games.

I'm not aware of any setting in the Editor that could do this, but I've been known to be wrong... a lot.

Cheers

Nick

To the producers
Why do you not included all the beautifull sandris units ? Many units have an very ugly style ! (scout etc)

H.Balck:king:

As much as I love Sandris' work, this is first and foremost a medieval mod. The goal was to achieve the tech tree we designed, fill in the gaps, add flavors etc. and not to include every single unit Sandris has made (still, most of them are in). Also, I'm not going to remove needed units just because they aren't Sandris' style.

No need to explain yourself, ED. :)

This mod is a masterpiece, in terms of gameplay, graphics, and historical relevance.
