Microwaved Ants, is it safe?

Ok. Right now, I have a lot of ants running around in my house. Feeling all evil, I want to cause them a death that is highly amusing to me, but won't cause anything to get broken. (I'd set them on fire with a magnifying glass or matches, but they're inside the house so there is no sunlight, and I'd prefer it didn't burn down)

If I put them in my microwave, how likely is it they would damage my microwave? Also, would killing ants in a microwave result in a humerous death?

If its anything like setting one on fire via magnifying glass...then be prepared for everything cooked in that microwave to taste like crap for a month. That smell is incredibly pungent...even from just one ant.

I wouldn't use any ant spray because then you have noxious fumes in your eating/cooking place and the cleanup almost makes it not worth it. :( What about getting a giant roll of tape and pick them up that way?

Dealing with Ants.

Pitty they took down the original thread that was dedicated to favorite ways of killing ants... (microwaves, household toxic chemicals, etc.)

My brother obliterated 2 microwaves, a plate, and a plastic bowl before with the microwaves.

First time was heating up a cookie for over 10 minutes. Microwave was all charred... On the outside. Plastic bowl melted and cookies were black cinders.

Second time was involving French Toast for 50 minutes. Cracked the plate in half, French toast sticks charred on one end, and not charred on the other. Microwave broken beyond reasonable repair.

Third time involved popcorn for excessive time. Didn't break the microwave, but left it horribly charred smelling for almost a year.

I thought this topic was about the nutritional value of Microwaved Ants.

Have a trail of dounuts leading from where you live to go outside.

this will most likely just result in more things going in than the ants leaving.

We had ants get in the iron once. We didn't know until my mom started ironing. It smelled awful!!! Whatever you do I highly suggest not cooking them indoors. We killed 'em but not sure the iron was any good afterwords.
