Buried under a pile of homework, but yes, still alive.

Did I ever get around to adding the Elvish music I created, based on Lord of the Rings and Oblivion? My music really isn't that good, but I suppose it's better than nothing.

Hi there. My 12 year old is both a Civ IV BtS fan as well as a LOTR fan. He found this Mod and has been trying to get it to work for days.
He downloaded the ZIP, Extracted it to the Middle-Earth folder, and moved that Folder into the same folder as all his other CivIV modes.
(C:\.......\beyondthesword\mods) Does it go somewhere else? Is he missing something to make it work?

Check to make sure you don't have an issue with double folders. Some times unzipping tools create a folder within a folder both with the same name.

Absolutely checked that.
The unzip did create a main folder and the subfolder. I only moved the Subfolder.
The one with the assets, etc, stuff in it.
Just like all the other folders that are in the Mods folder.
I even tried renaming the folder from middle-earth to middleearth.
And although he does have Steam, this game he did NOT purchase through Steam and did not install it through Steam. So I put the folder directly into the c:/2K..../beyond the sword/mods folder. That's where his other mods are.
Not even sure where else to try to put it.

So, we got Middle Earth to show up when you click ADVANCED - LOAD A MOD. But it crashes every time. (gives you the "a problem has occurred" and just says do you want to search online for a solution or close app) It does NOT however, appear when you choose Load Scenario where other Mods still do.
Any thoughts anyone?

OH!!! I am guessing not? He went to ABOUT THIS BUILD and it shows - Civ Version 313, Save Version is 301, Build Version is 3.0.0.1
Is that what you mean? Should I Google getting a patch up to 319?? THANK YOU!

Hey y'all. I am still alive, just buried under another pile of homework. Just finished another semester though, so some modding may be done in the near future. The mod is alive.

Also, so glad you got the mod to work Nealla. I have the same interests in LOTR and Civ4, so I am glad to be a help. More releases will come shortly (hopefully).
