Mark German was not wealthy, nor was he considered so by his friends, with the founding of Noropini's first and only national truck line, he could become a millionaire overnight. Though to the surprise of his family and friends, that was not his wish, while he could just be content with managing the trucks and finding contracts, it was not his style. He was ambitious and always finding ways to save money, even if it means putting his company on the path to bankruptcy, even though his employees and friends wish will not happen. This new project that Mark has in store just may do this if their CEO is not careful. The day before Global Truck Lines purchased a vast 200 acre plot of land in the Industrial district of Vega, and many employees wondered about the purchase of such a large plot. Most garages, such as the one in Trantor doesn't extend beyond 20 acres. This confusion is not limited only to the employees, but to the people of Vega as well, as the land purchased is really nothing important, just home to snakes and other other animals. In fact Vega would not consider itself very important to a trucking company to begin with.
To Mark German though, Vega is extremely important to the future of his company, as it would hold the most important part of his operation. The refinery it is hoped will decrease cost of operations for Global trucks, thus reduce the cost of maintaining contracts with other companies, thus giving them more to spend on their own companies. This is what Mark German wanted, the best for himself and his clients. Therefore today he announced to his employees and the country;
Global Truck Lines has purchased a 200 acre lot in the industrial section of Vega for an oil-to-petrol refinery. This company will be a subsidiary of Global Truck Lines and be called, Global Petrol. Once the refinery is up and operating expect a local Global Petrol station in your city or location in the next several years. With this petrol we hope to reduce the cost of operating our trucks and thus give you, the client, a larger bottom line. No longer will our clients have to pay for varying petrol prices or take distance into their calculation for paying Global Truck Lines their fuel charge, instead Global Truck Lines clients instead just pay a flat fuel charge. In the long run, this will save our clients much more cash.

To companies in Noropini
From Global Truck Lines
We still have 3 Early Bird specials. If you want this special, be sure to contact our company in the next 24 hours, the next 3 callers who enter the contract will be granted this special. (PM)
To get the Early Bird special the client must agree to the following:
Sign a 10 year contract with Global Truck Lines.
They will receive 20% off all haul fees (including fuel charges) for 5 years.
In the last 5 years of the 10 year contract, all haul fees (including fuel charges) will be back to regular charges and fees.
The Client must not break the contract, if client breaks contract, Global Truck Lines will recoup all Early Bird specials fees and charges. (Meaning simply, that if you served a 2 year contract, then break the contract, Global Truck Lines will request that the fees and charges be paid in full, the last 2 years will be regular fees instead of Early Bird Specials. This will still be in effect even in year 8, in which case the 5 years you paid the Early Bird Special will then be considered the regular contract and Global Truck Lines will demand the rest of the payments from those years as well.)
