Mobius: Total Chaos

I have noted that I actually won an air battle with the opposing force well over double of mine.

Not that I'm not stuplified in a good way, but what the hell RNG?

He doesn't count numbers.

Ayup, he just told me as much.

==Crusaders==

"After that, the Robian armies that were assembled all in the southern region of Crusader lands are to begin full-scale invasion."

Before this goes through, the Fringe air armada attacks. 120 vs. 37.

37-17

66 bomb the Crusaders. 17 Robians destroyed.

38 Robian armies invade! Their +50% will assist in defeating the 78 Fringe armies. Fringe has 10 points.

19-19.

Crusaders - 5 destroyed, 7 captured, 7 retreat
Fringe - 4 destroyed, 8 captured, 7 retreat

2 Cyan re-energise 10 of the armies.

7-3.

3 Fringe destroyed; 3 captured; 1 retreat. 1 Crusader destroyed, 1 captured, 1 retreat.

"Once all that is done, the regular armies bordering the Black Arms-occupied land and if possible the ones who have just landed via sea are to attack the Black Arms depending on the damage inflicted on them. If the bombarding by sea and air killed off more or less half of them, commence attack. If not, then they are to defend."

The Crusader armies don't bother with invasion.

==Fringe==

Fringe orders its horde against the Robians. 60 vs. 24.

15-45. 10 Crusaders destroyed, 5 captured. 13 Fringe destroyed, 13 captured, 19 retreat.

--

Further north, the Fringe navy engages 25 Black Arms Squid.

12-38 in the first wave
13-33

Fringe had 105 vessels. It now has 34. 9 ships open fire on Black Arms positions - 2 Black Arms armies destroyed. 8 Greek air forces attack the weakened Black Arms, who have no air force to defend. They score 4 hits, but alas, only 2 armies to vaporise.

Fringe having no interest in the region(merely wanting to neutralise that front), the Greeks and Turks divvy it up amongst themselves.

Fringe orders 20 armies against the Crusaders.

5-15. 5 Crusaders captured. 5 Fringe destroyed, 7 captured, 3 retreat.

==Reikland vs. UBS==

Reikland strikes at the UBS with 50 armies.

The Psionic Decimator is triggered first, killing 1 of each unit type. Psychic beacon steals one Robian.

19 Robians and 25 conventional forces await them.

18-32. Impressive! 5 Robians destroyed; 4 captured, 9 retreat. 5 Reikland destroyed; 10 captured, 17 retreat.

Fortunately for Reikland, the UBS has no interest in counterattacking. But that may soon change...

==Up next: Black Arms vs. the World==

I thought robians could only retreat or be captured when it comes to battle?

Either way I am quite impressed at the fact that I pretty much won this year of battle.

This is just getting absurd.

This is just getting absurd.
You can say that again. Only in Tani's game does he enjoy playing powergamer. Even without making NPCs the prime focus, he still manages to tick off players with his antics.

Yes men, I just suffered disproportionate losses against much smaller forces and that... SUCKS. :(

Cuz I wasted 71 vessels just to secure that front...

Did anyone really join this not expecting this sort of thing? If anything I joined for it :p

I wasn't... I didn't know Tanny's GMing. :(

EDIT: I mean the way to calculate battle results.

I thought maybe he'd finally learned his lesson.

Well, those results are purely the RNG's fault. I wouldn't blame Tani on this one.

Can I blame him for making the mechanics as obtuse as possible?

Well, he's known for mixing Calvinball with IOT ;). Though his idea of having us squirm for enjoyment is not really not making it fun for the rest of us...

#OCCUPYIMPERIUMOFFTOPICUM!!

Robians - as I recall, unless otherwise stated, they share the same 33/33/33 chance as ordinary armies. In that vein, you can always order your troops not to kill any defeated armies and instead default to capture. (66% chance) However, keep in mind POWs can riot, and rejoin their founding nations, if your camps get too crowded.

Black Arms are best defeated through air/naval bombardment, rather than armies. Armies can be mutated, meaning you can make the BA stronger short of swarming them with hundreds of units.

I've repeatedly tipped everyone. :p You could pay the Ixis nations to get some of their troops. Their troops are the best against Black Arms as they are evenly matched.

As for large losses - my games always emphasise quality over quantity. I remember Domination once threw 40 armies at 10 and brutally lost. This was because the opposing side invested in their technology, making them able to curbstomp his forces. Military level + Mechanisation is a key to win the day.

Then again no one seems to read the actual update so I suppose it makes sense these tips slip through. :p

Though I need to re-balance the factions anyway.

Well the jumble-of-numbers reports sure don't tell me anything.

Neither to me, really. I can figure out only when he points losses.

10-1.

This means that the attacker had 10 victories and 1 defeat.

Good luck with that? /notes I already have several NAPS

You're no longer 01. Everyone who had NAPs with 01 still has them. You, however, are a faction at war with everyone, unless they want to be your ****.

And even if you didn't change countries, NAPs can easily be broken. If a guy I had a NAP with starting gunning down everyone, I'd probably attack him before he got too strong.

Of course, I usually don't make NAPs, so I've never been in a situation where I retardedly got myself into.

Yo.
