I seriously negotiated about three NAPs with various nations within two hours of the regime change. Surprisingly, they realize that there is a benefit. Multilateral interventions never work in IOTs and therefore, realpolitik decisions such as signing NAPs with the Ruinous Powers are a safer bet.
And even if you didn't change countries, NAPs can easily be broken. If a guy I had a NAP with starting gunning down everyone, I'd probably attack him before he got too strong.
No. Just no. Even if you wanted to represent me as something from 40k, you should have chosen an Imperial Guard tank commander (Which is admittedly is my favorite faction).
And because as the percentage of participating nations approaches one, so does the chance of the coalition falling apart over increasingly small events. Some nations have already found that the Ruinous Powers won't purge them if they play ball.

Flagg looked into the violet orb on his desk. Black Doom's last orders before he was suddenly kicked upstairs (to the moon) were resulting in limited gains and destruction. As a matter of fact, it looks like he's attacking everyone! Flagg sighed. The contents of the orb swirled before a dark figure in chains with two armed guards in armor filled the glass.
"What do you want traitor?" Black Doom demanded.
"I am to let you know that the Ruinous Powers have smiled upon my plight."
Black Doom paled, "And that means?"
Flagg shrugged, "What do I know? I'm a traitor who wasn't privied to sensitive information in the first place, remember? Remember how my guards could not find your secret bunker?" Flagg laughed.
Black Doom wasn't a fool. He knew that the Black Arms, not Black Armament, had conflicting loyalties. Commanding from a secret bunker sometimes seemed like a good idea...until one of Doom's bodyguards suddenly embraced the Changer of Ways.
