Looking for a mountain for your capital? That's worth the delay and will pay huge in the long run.

I saw mountains nearby, but the multiple jungles make me think that moving away may not be that different.

Ya my worker was sitting on the river but none of my settlers and I had to move to a jungle tile so no first turn settle

Question: Is there any way to change the order of turns? It would suit my schedule much better to go after Foffaren and before Sorc. If it can't be done I can manage but it would be much more convenient

I usually play this game in the mornings before work, meaning I'm not really playing when I'm supposed to. That may be why the turns doesnt really play out as planned.

Sorry, I didn't bother trying to optimise the turn order with this game...I had enough turns coming through with 7 games already that I didn't need them coming faster. I hope that doesn't prove a mistake and to be annoying for those with less games. I don't think it can be changed now.

Free buildings do seem tied to city placement. In one test, I planted on iron, and I got a free forge...can't remember if I got the workshop too, might have!
