Through the website, under the specific game details, I would think.

If it really is a crucial time (like you don't want the AI to plant any of your cities, etc) we could just hold the game for a couple days. How long are you away for?

Click on your portrait from the GMR website while logged in. There will be an option immediately underneath.

On my most recent turn, I accepted an offer from Sweden to exchange embassies, and it occurs to me now that this may have been an AI offer, not the player. Since I take my turn right after him I figured he sent the request right before he left, but now I'm second guessing myself.

Did I just goof? I don't want to play "dirty" and take advantage of the AI.

Well, we haven't met in game, but I doubt anyone could kill you in 7 turns or less, even if they were mercenary enough to abuse the AI in your absence.
