Hi,ihave some ideas for mods.this is a thread for mods ideasso you canwrite your ideas.
1.Ottoman mod-the battle for the BAlkans
2.SPACE MOD-space out,many "pirates"(barberians),old Empires...
3,ARENA-the ultimate mod
4.G.E.A.R.-machines are coming soon
And i have a secret mod-you will know for it soon!:goodjob:
 
Yeah, I think you should go with Stormrages idea of putting every unit into one mod and then make like 8 different ages. That would be fun.
 
I was thinking about a space type scenario, that puts the various miniverses in one place...

2 civs for each, the "good" and the "bad"...but not locked against each other...

Star wars: Empire, and Rebelion
Star Trek : Federation(and maybe Klingons/Bajorans) and Romulans/Dominion
Star Gate: SGC and Goa'uld
Battle Star Galactica: Humans and Cylons...

and maybe up to 3 civs with the "other" units...like the Xcom pack, and other "non name Brand Ships" or ships that there arent enough to make a whole Civ...like Starblazers(the Argo is out there) and HGttG (the heart of gold is out there)


I would also like to see a "battle for Erin" Mod...noone has touched on the Irish and the English fighting for control of Ireland....Id like to see Ireland win for a change...
 
A mod I´ve been thinking of doing is a Rise and Fall of the Persian Empire, with the following eras:
Achaemenids-Hellenism-The sons of Sas´san-'Al Iraniyya
Elam-Achaemenids-Hellenism-The sons of Sas´san
And I place a geas on anyone who copies my idea! :smug:

1. That looks more like a scenario.
2. Well, this has been attempted several times, but the projects were all abandoned after a while.
3. Needs more description. :p
4. Robot wars?
 
You´re right Blue, more than that, there has been 1000 years since the Turks started pouring west, so that´s a lot of time to work upon :mischief:

Don´t talk so much about hardcoding, apart from the usual NO-CD "patches" there is a version of ROME:Total War -"patched", of course- going around here in Buenos Aires which allows you to start an Imperial campaign, short or long, whichever you please, with ANY faction in the game, without even having to defeat them!
 
You can have as many ages as you like, provided you put them "inside" the four hardcoded ones. For example, if you have ten techs in the first half of the ancient age, which lead to a single tech which then blossoms out again into ten techs in the second half of the ancient age, you have in effect made it into two ages. There are a number of mods which do this.

I don't think there's a limit; it just gets more and more cluttered on the science advisor screen. Around 30-ish is a comfortable number (IMHO) and fills the screen, though I think in DYP/RAR there were over 40 techs per era.

That is pure genius I never even thought of something like that. Is there a way to replace the generic "future tech 1 etc" with new individual ones?
