Since I'm interested with any amount numbers that you can rank or make a graph of, I had the most curious idea:
In the members section, you can list by name, date joined, and top poster. Well since we all know how top posters who joined after october 2000 probably have some postings of dubious quality ;) it'd be interesting to sort members by number of posts per day. Not that it would be of any use (except for those in the moderating business perhaps) but it'd show a ever changing top 10 list since a newbie will most likely have a very high number of posts per day.

As I said before, not that it'd be of any use, but just because I like it (and while you're at it, put the fanatic back!) If you're afraid that it might induce spamming: make a spam induced bannings top 25 (and delete the postcount thingy)

Greetings!

I also have a fascination of looking at statistics, and I like the idea, although I guess it isn't a big deal, since like you said, it wouldn't be of much use. Although you could use it to see what the top 25 posters might be in the future, not that the top 25 posters really means anything.

(and delete the postcount thingy)
No! I like the postcount thingy. I don't know why though, and it probably does encourge spam, but I like it nonetheless.

Well, that's exactly what makes it interesting. Plus, we get to see who's the ultimate spammeister (and flame him) It might make people want to actually decrease their pc:D

Don't overestimate that. When you signed up a long time ago, your posts will be averaged over a long period. Ergo, your pc won't change much.

For newbies, it's different. Although even for newbies there's no reason to post 50 times a day.

It wouldn't have too much of a bearing anyway.
I have quite a few posts now [looks leftwards], but since I only visit CFC at work then my posts per day will be quite low as I'm never here at weekends. I have to make up for it while I can though. :)
Posts per hour here might be closer to the mark, but since I spend all day here (I have the CFC window minimised most of the time) then that wouldn't be that accurate either.

What if the ultimate spamster is a moderator? :) Then you can't flame him. :p For an alternative definition of spam, look at the Civ3 Demogame. :crazyeye:

Just checked the top posters list, and he's moved up to #2! I fear Mr Darkshade is in danger of losing his spam crown...

disorganiser is one of our more prolific and/or vocal citizens in the Civ3 demogame. Believe it or not, he actually does seem to have amassed all those posts in one forum without (significant ;)) spamming

Wow Shaitan has 15.18 posts per day. Thats got to be a record considering that he has been here for quite awhile.
