More Wonders

Thanks! I'm pretty sure (I can't verify 100% as I don't have a mac) that they will work if you download from here, but I think the best thing to do would be to download it and check. If it works, could you please let me know? Cheers!

Martin Luther King Memorial

Situated at 1964 Independence Avenue, Washington DC, the Martin Luther King Memorial was constructed in 2011, and inspired by the quote "Out of a Mountain of Despair, a stone of hope", taken from Martin Luther King's famous "I have a dream" speech. It was built to honour the iconic Civil Rights activist, and the address signifies the year in which he led thousands in a Civl Rights demonstation during what came to be called the 'March on Washington', and the year in which the Civil Rights act was passed. Ingame, the MLK Memorial provides a +10% boost to global Great Person generation, +5 :c5happy: Happiness with Freedom, and requires Computers. The wonder can be downloaded either from the ingame ModBrowser, or from the CivFanatics download database, page Here.

MHO: good graphics, good narratives, but in-game bonuses overpowered. Not just MLK, but a lot of them. I think I'm going to use a lot of these in-game, but I plan on nerfing them, and also making them all highly dependent on really weird conditions (like city must be coastal and have cotton, for example). I do see, though, that MLK requires 1250 hammers, which is a lot. Some nice high-end wonders makes sense.

It's not perfect, but if you're willing to tweak XML files, this mod might be helpful to you:

Thanks. I depend on user feedback to optimise the wonders, and often they are slightly on the OP side, I'll admit. If you have any suggestions for changes to the wonders, please let me know!

The mod in that link hasn't been updated since about July last year, so every wonder in the past 9 months won't have support

Nice modpack. By all means I'm willing to tweak XML files on my spare time. I'm a coder by trade. I just hate all the artwork stuff.

Ooh, I forgot about the build wonder CS missions. That's going to suck--don't want CS issuing build wonder missions if you can never build 40% of them. I'll need to research how much liberty I've got tuning the CS missions.

It's still good to get suggestions from my end.

Also, from the look of the expansion content, the following mods will no longer recieve support or new updates:
- Terracotta Army
- Great Mosque of Djenne
- Leaning Tower
- CN Tower

Yep but so much more opportunity now for faith wonders for you Pouakai :D

Perhaps you may convert P'uukahola Heiau (I feel foolish, I have forgotten the exact spelling...) as a religious wonder, now? Would certainly be interesting for one of the few great Polynesian monuments to be amongst the first to take advantage of the expansion's benefits.

Broadway - It's sort of based on the fact that Stonehenge gives 6 Culture in the Ancient era, scaled to Modern era times. But I'll probably nerf that soon, thanks for the tip!

Broadway can be a big $ source in real life...
"According to The Broadway League, Broadway shows sold approximately $1.037 billion worth of tickets in calendar year 2010, compared with $1.004 billion for 2009."(http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadway_theater#section_4)

Maybe think outside just a single city benefit. Since people come from all over to see shows, how about a base culture per turn plus a % increase in gold based on connected cities (trade routes or something)? Just a thought

How about require that the city have access to dyes? The shows have lots of costumes and props. One of the Broadway shows is Joseph and His Technicolor Dreamcoat.

MHO. Gobekli Tepe. Stonehenge is 180 hammers, requires a technology, and it only gives 6 culture + 1 GE point. Gobekli Tepe requires no tech and can be built right at game start, requires 120 hammers, and gives 5 culture. Only drawback is the 1 GA point, and even that artist means a very early landmark. I would at least knock Gobekli Tepe down to 4 culture to be more in-line with the hammers.
