As far as I'm aware, it's still not possible to add the 3D models in through a mod - you need to modify the base files, which I'd rather not get people to do. There's too much room for error

The Motherland Calls relies on the Communism Social Policy IIRC, which doesn't exist any more. Change it to any one of the order tenets and it will work

Panama Canal has a line that's <TradeRouteModifier> or something. Add CityConnection to the front of it and it should work (So <CityConnectionTradeRouteModifier> if that's the right code)

Though the light at Eddystone is more famous, I think the Bell Rock light to be the greater achievement. The rocks are more treacherous, the winds higher, and the waves a hell of a lot stronger. It's still in use today, and the masonry has never been replaced.
