It's music for depressed loser teenagers. Examples of crappy emo music (to be fair that's redundant) include Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Nirvana, Megadeth, and Metallica.

Dude are you like 900 years old? Nirvana is grunge, and all those other bands are metal. And punk is not equal to emo, but ignorance is bliss.

I listen to music for the sound. I compose music for the sound. The vocal melodies are important, but the lyrics dont matter, while they can still be good and contribute to the depth of the song.

I like Nirvana, theyre my favorite band. Musically theyre not very emo, theyre punkish grunge and pop I think. Lyrically they dont have any Emo songs, assuming by Emo you mean lyrics about depression and/or self-loathing. I like some jazz to, and a lot of blues.

Why not country? Tons of kids had "anything/everything but country" as favorite music on facebook. I'll get down and line dance (yeehaw!) but it's still even more hated than emo.
