Multipolarity II - Game Thread

You can, just surrender to Katter.

Katter naturally would accept your unconditional surrender, considering you defeat is inevitable (your outnumbered 15 to 4 in armies, also known for convenience as slightly over 3 to 1), furthermore Katter has learnt from his ex-war ministers failures and will not see the mistakes of the past repeated.

But I don't like surrendering, surrendering is for weak and
spineless.

Are you gonna take that, energy parasite guys?

But I don't like surrendering, surrendering is for weak and

ooc: it would also mean you can start afresh somewhere else with a new and more vibrant nation, avoiding the hastle of enduring wiith a war ravaged nation with an economy thats gone to hell for longer than you have to, thus minimising your own game losses.

but of course, I understand your sentiment.

But I don't like surrendering, surrendering is for weak and

Hey! We're not weak! And if I had a spine I would be offended by that second part too!

I'm just now noticing this, but I'm missing a division I built two turns ago.

You're absolutely right, bold, you're not weak. You surrendered to someone you weren't even at war with. Weak is an understatement for that action.

HX: Hello again. This is Hungao Xing for the TV 7 News. Our latest news in titles are:

Revolt in Australia

Interview of the leader of the Communist Party of China, Mr. Jung Jiao-long

UN shut down

HX: So, let's begin. In Australia, there were revolts in the Katterland-Occupied Oz. Dowyuang Hunsin will inform us more about it.

DH: It seems that the Oz people have not lost their fighting spirit. 13,000 rebel soldiers rise up, and repel the Katter Occupation forces. 2,000 Kater forces were killed while the rebels lost only 1,000 forces. Katterland is repelled from Oz and is swiftly knocked out from its prominent position. Of the 5.603 million people in the territories, 560,000 die.

HX: It is amazing how this people manage to fight for their Independence against the so called ''Emerging Superpower'' of the world. In other news, Dowyuang Hunsin interviewed the leader of the Communist Party of China, Mr. Jung Jiao-long. Let's see the interview:

DH: Hello Mr. Jung Jiao-long .

JJ: Hello.

DH: So, my first question is, what is your though about the current economic policy of China?

JJ: For the Plutocracy it is very good. For the workers however, it couldn't be worse. The Government steals the people's money.

DH: So you agree with the Republican Party in that issue?

JJ: No. The Republicans want to replace one capitalist system with another. We want to replace Capitalism with Communism.

DH: And why you think that Communism will succeed?

JJ: Because when China was Communist it met it's greatest glories. PRC and PRX were the Hyperpowers of the world. They had the greatest economy in the world.

DH: What are your thoughs about the Foreign poloicy?

JJ: Closer ties with Socialist and Third World countries.

DH: Thank you.

JJ: I thank you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HX: A very interesting opinion. In other news, the UN shut down. Dowyuang Hunsin will tell us more information about it.

DH: It seems that the Chaos caused by Java, London and Turkestan has forced the UN to shut down.

HX: So, with this, we end our News. We will see you in 6 hours again. Until then, have a good day.

The Formatics are the spiritual successors to the French of the 20th Century.

You mean the Formatics were still recovering from a mega war that wrecked them, resulting in them not being at full power when they got invaded by a militaristic powerhouse but then continued the fight after "the surrender" via a resistance?

Given than the French Army was far stronger than the German Army in 1939/40, there shouldn't have been a resistance in the first place.

ooc: French in WW2 surrendered very fast. we Greeks fought against Italians and Germans, we caused Axis it's first land defeat and after the Greek Mainland was taken over, we fought in Crete. Not only that, but some historians regard the German campaign in Greece as decisive in determining the course of World War II, maintaining that it fatally delayed the Axis invasion of the Soviet Union. In a speech made at the Reichstag in 1941, Hitler expressed his admiration for the Greek resistance, saying of the campaign: "Historical justice obliges me to state that of the enemies who took up positions against us, the Greek soldier particularly fought with the highest courage. He capitulated only when further resistance had become impossible and useless." The Führer also ordered the release and repatriation of all Greek prisoners of war, as soon as they had been disarmed, "because of their gallant bearing." According to Hitler's Chief of Staff, Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, the Führer "wanted to give the Greeks an honorable settlement in recognition of their brave struggle, and of their blamelessness for this war: after all the Italians had started it."

Churchill said, "Hence we will not say that Greeks fight like heroes, but that heroes fight like Greeks".

I can personally attest to this.

Me too.

I'm just now noticing this, but I'm missing a division I built two turns ago.

Possible the purchases of corporate powers interfered with such?

I recall some players have gotten the math wrong (understandably) and have spent more than they had.

Also: Let's try to avoid too much historical discussion, please. :p

I don't think so. I remember the first turn and I set aside a set percentage of my budget each turn for military stuff. The first turn I had $6 left over so I bought one division and the next turn, it even told me I took out the right amount of money. :p

Did you use the other half to buy a fleet?

:shake: Once again, the map does not show up. Also, I have no idea what my secret stats are. :p
