So it has been pointed out that Catalonia was a member of the MA and GCI. So. Henceforth declaring Catalonia a GCI-MA condominium. Until the GCI and MA come up with an alternative system, it will be jointly ruled by Sonereal and SamSniped. Allot it how ye will.

...just don't attempt to ship all the wealth overseas to yourselves or there will be consequences. >:c

==Louisiana Civil War==

With no one bothering to fund the rebels, the Empire under Napoleon X is in dire straits, as Louisiana launches a massive assault.

Louisiana's fleet blocking the Empire's waterways strangles trade revenues, while 3 air wings do battle with the Empire's 2.

Louisiana emerges victorious, each side destroy another of the other's air wings. The damage leaves the French Empire's air fleet out of commission.

With air superiority ensured and fresh regiments on the way, Louisiana orders a strike against the Rebels.

Surprisingly, the Rebels hold off all three attacks! Both sides lose 1 army. Without assistance, Louisiana is sure to finish them off with time, however.

I absolutely agree with this. It's absolutely ridicukous to merge states and then give two of my eneies joint control of another nation..

Very true, not to mention that it makes absolutely no sense RP wise. A country randomly deciding to merge with another friendly one just because their leader died. NOPE.

Just dissolve all states if the player quits. He/she chose to leave so he/she won't be coming back. End of story.

Victoria is not going to merge with Katterland. The plan is for them to more or less behave like a client state, and break off if Katterland ever grew too weak (or if the opportunity to majorly backstab Katterland arose). It must abide by the treaty that was signed prior to NC's resignation, regardless. This is part of my policy of "maintain previous alignments."

The condominium thing has more or less been a joke this entire time based on Sonereal's comment. Seeing the negative reaction, however, it's obviously staying independent, albeit it's maintaining its GCI-MA alliances. Once more, previous alignments.

The only reason giving players control over the countries crossed my mind was I think 3 major NPCs is enough to personify.

As for not giving any major NPC to Thorvald: Given the large workload he already has, plus the fact he already controls a major power, naturally I don't think the transfer would be a good idea. There are plenty of safeguards against NPC abuse I feel this game around. That I base the majority of their actions on their previous players' actions and if not that, chance, I think makes things good enough.

If you need any evidence I have a different persona in mind for each, check the UN building. These NPCs are more likely to eat eachother than any of you.

Since my word isn't good enough for some, let me use mathematics to explain how NPCs cannot become outrageously overpowered.

The new industry mechanic restricts them just as much as any human player. They cannot build a huge spy force, or a l337-quality military, without an economic base to match. The wealthiest major is Catalonia, at 248. Average human is 331, and I need not explain how gargantuan the economies of Katterland, the Union of China, and Crusaders are...

Overall, there's no reason to fear them.

As for why I have them. Well. I dunno. I like myself some RP too. The head-down corporate city-states were not satisfying my itch.
