-The economies of the nations are roughly equal, negating any possible advantages.

-If the Spammers attack they will attack alone, given that it would be an act of aggression.

This is not really an act of aggression on Aden's part, just an escalation of the already-existing embargo. You cannot expect us to not hurt your economy when you are already strangling ours. Call off your embargo and we shall call off ours.

Aden could always tighten the noose to include the Red Sea as well, if the Spammer government would prefer. This is simple economic warfare: you are crippling our economy, and so we must likewise cripple yours. Leave the HITSGDP with its self-righteous ideology and renounce its fallacious vendetta against the Saviors, and we shall be happy to let our people trade as friends once more.

Aden announces its intent to sink the entirety of the Spammer fleet if it so much as sails an inch into its territorial waters (which include Ormuz, as a note). As Light Gaia can tell you, while Negan is a reasonable man, he is ruthless when engaged in combat.

It would not be an act of aggression on our part to defend our sovereign territory, which includes the waters off our coast. The attempt to use Aden's own logic against it does not follow.

However, all Adeni troops are remaining at home; it is the Spammers who are violating territorial boundaries, and who are the aggressor in this conflict.

This will not end well for the Spammers' Crusade. It is not a ludicrous request that the Spammers distance themselves from the HITSGDP and its nonsense. Nor is it ludicrous that Aden is able to exercise its privileges over its sovereign territories; we control the southern Red Sea and the Straits of Ormuz, and our fully within our legal rights to deny access to anyone we please.

OCC: So just for reference, Aden controls the Red Sea and the Straits of Ormuz, correct? I can understand why the Straits of Ormuz would effect my economy, but considering I don't own any territories bordering the Red Sea nor do I trade with Sinai or Aden, why would THAT effect my economy?

Aden also is keeping the blockade up until the Spammers withdraw from HITSGDP. The seizure of Ormuz was to facilitate this and apply more pressure. Perhaps as the hordes of vagrants coming from the eastern Arabic coast flood the Levant, the Spammer government will realise it is in error to oppose the natural order of things.

Indonesia announces it is formally closing its sea lanes to ARMS traffic, but given that Malay has its own canal further north, suspects it won't do much good... especially as most of the ports of Asia are closed to ARMS shipping anyway. Oh well. Symbolic gesture at least.

Nations that are deemed trustworthy may receive a 200 Gilder loan and a 250 Gilder loan. Failure to repay a debt on time will incur a 100 Gilder deduction charge. Failure to pay the debt + the fine will merit military action against the perpetrator nation.
We are taking applications for loans from all nations, with the pay-back date to be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Loans will not be given to nations deemed untrustworthy or currently engaged in active warfare.

We also formally offer alliance towards France, Bavaria, and Germany.
