From Namibia
To Guinea:

We would be very happy if you could repay us for the attack of your previous Government against our colonies. 10 gold would be good.
To Martin Ziguélé, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Namibia
From Walther Hewel, Minister of External Affairs, Guinea

Acknowledging the underhanded tactics committed by the Romensian administration against various states, Guinea must nonetheless reiterate that it bears no direct legal responsibility for actions of the deposed régimes. We do, however, have a number of ex-Romnesian and NSRA staff and military officers under arrest for war crimes and crimes against humanity. If the Namibian government can provide sufficient evidence that any of these persons are directly tied to illegal actions during the previous war, we will consider extradition.

@Nambia: We would like to make amends for our part in the troubles that Nambia have been put through these last few years, which has been dubbed as the Nambian Holocaust. As such we will send you 10 Million Spam (OCC: Ten Gold) to pay for the damages in infrastructure, but we cannot pay for the cost in lives No one can bring back the dead.

We would also like to normalize relations between our two countries. I propose that we establish a new embassy in our capitals for our respective countries.

The Spammer's Crusade vows that we will never let anything like the Nambian Holocaust happen again, whether through action or inaction on our part. Never again.

OCC: I'm calling it the Nambian Holocaust because damn, the Blood Empire killed a hell of a lot of Nambians.

(Mass murder ≠ genocide. Semantic peeve of mine.)

The Guinean government has published the findings of its Commission on National Religious Practice. The results diverge wildly from the last official census under Romney. A general poll of the populace revealed the following statistics:
Faith|% pop.|Approx. # citizens
Christian|47.7|835 532
Muslim|43.7|763 466
Other|7.3|127 869
Undeclared|1.3|22 771
Based on these responses and their jarring discrepancies with Romnesian records, the Commission appears to confirm allegations from investigations carried out during and after the "Stupid Purges" that Romney implemented policies of religious suppression. While the public report does not outline denominational subdivisions, supplementary briefings indicate practice of Mormonism declined sharply after Romney's retreat to the moon; given the extremely small number of persons involved in the exodus, support seems to have been largely lip-service. Although NSRA records are virtually nonexistent, religious persecution, particularly of Catholics, is believed to have continued.

The Commission has referred the matter to the Council for National Rehabilitation.

OCC: I was doing it in the "style" of the Rwandan Genocide. I know that they aren't actually genocides, perhaps attempted genocide would be more appropriate.

@Tani: Could we get a number of Nambians killed in the war? All people, civilians, soliders, ect. I want to see how badly the Blood Empire damaged the country.

We accept.

The Spammers are the closest nation census-wise, at 1800 people per 27 provinces, a contrast to Namibia's 1000 people for 25 provinces.

As such, it can be gauged that hundreds of thousands died, more or less. With tens of thousands displaced, mostly to the Congo.

Ok..hundreds of thousands is a genocide

Attention citizens of the Imperium of Man and other residents of this world! Along with our economic and military development have we set to news most noble that outshines it all: Empress Oxana is with child! Conformation is that she has been pregnant one month and three quarters! His Imperial Majesty has welcomed the blessed news most blessing of fortunes! The heir to be for the Empire of Man has shifted! We will keep on information on the progression of this most prestige pregnancy. Glory to God and the Imperium of Man! Long live Emperor Magnus Flanagon of Man, his Empress Oxana Yaskev and the future ruler of the Imperium of Man!

Elaborate. I'm pretty sure there's a consensus on Rwanda.

Mass murder ≠ genocide.

I'm not saying what the Bloods did isn't, and I'm certainly not saying what they did isn't a crime; I'm saying genocide is qualified by intent, not death toll. It really pisses me off when people toss this word around for shock value.

The point is that they exterminated almost my entire population. Before the war, Namibia was the most populous country in the world.

I don't see why it is note worthy that the Whore of Mann got knocked up

OOC: maybe because in a absolute monarchy, the matter of if their is a heir to the throne or not is a very important matter. It determines whether the throne is safe. In such a absolute monarchy, the incumbent king dying without a heir has historically been...not pretty.
Plus, you should watch your mouth. In RL, making a comment like that would cause a massive uproar, with many wanting your head on a platter. If you were a diplomat, you would have just lost your job.

OOC: His comment wasn't OOC.

OOC: that is the biggest problem. He has basically sent Mann a diplomatic insult. A rational government would not let their diplomats act like that. If it was the leader of what ever nation Mosher is playing(I'm not really paying attention to that fact.), he clearly isn't showing the self control expected of a national leader.

I'm pretty sure diplomatic insults aren't all that rare.

The Blood Republic has leaked war plans of the Blood Empire.

More than once, objectives included, "In the event of a retreat, kill as many citizens as possible" or something to that extent.

The Republic once more cannot apologise enough for the horrors committed by the regime it has replaced.

OOC:

Oh joy. The genocide debate from MP1 makes an encore performance... :p

Manx earns 29 raw materials; Solitude earns 15.

Clienting Processes

Clienting a state already under another's influence has a 50% chance of failure by default; a decision is then made based on the influence of those involved.

Guinea - Chad (30 gold)

52. The roll proceeds, 60 for Guinea and 40% for Namibia. 40. Guinea takes Chad.

It remembered the jungle.

Scavenging for hours. Waiting for the response. The villagers arrived. Very late-response. They were not armed, but there were too many. It needed to wait for the right moment to strike. The bipedals inspected the meteorite. They will find nothing of note. It will be reported to authorities. It decided to wait. The bipedals leave. It waits.

Uniformed bipedals arrive in a pair. Their uniforms denote a higher-rank. It decides that one or the other shall suffice. It picks the one talking more. It might be the leader of the pair. Inside it, soft sounds and smells rise up from the mud camouflaging it. The authoritative partner approaches the sound. The back of its partner is toward It and it.

The authorative partner is hypnotized. It strikes it in the neck. Response is rapid, but It's response is faster yet. It embeds itself within-

And then I turn around, zipping up my jacket to hide the rapidly-recovering wound. Vibol Soun, my partner, sighs and places his notepad in his back pocket. "Damn villagers out here are afraid of anything. Something tells me regional politics will be slightly unstable the next few months, eh?"

Processing. I laughed, "Probably." Reference to video game codified. Will be cataloged to test importance.

"So, Pich, you find anything? If not, we should get going."

I smile. "I think the villagers left us something. Come and take a look at this..."

My mind is now two. I will take Pich as the central node. I think about returning to headquarters. I agree. But first, we will report our findings to the villagers. They will be interested in what I tell them.
