An Interview with a Vampire King
The Elder Kain walked around his bank, wicked sword ahip. The mortal tv crew followed cautiously as was proper.
"Here is where the Manx criminals will be interred, alongside our own. Normally we do not allow people inside, for security, you understand. But with recent events we wish to, shall we say, put on a show."
The vault doors grinded open, the slow movement of a building in damnation swung open to reveal its bowels to the crowds. One young woman whimpered. Hung from the ceiling were hundreds of humans, all pale white from captivity. Plastic wrap covered their immobile forms with only a hole for their mouth which had a large feeding tube inserted into them. It fed liquid food and water into them, while other tubes slowly drained their waste and blood from their still living bodies.
"They were all offered a choice. Instant death, or this. If they chose a simple death then they would have been feasted on by those vampires who could afford it. In this method their families receive benefits and if their crime was small they may be released someday." Kain noticed the whimpering woman and gently cupped her face, his claws only breaking the skin slightly. "Do not fret young one. It is all very- what is the word you use? Humane? How quaint. Yes it is all very humane. They feel no pain. For the awake ones we even provide entertainment in the form of the mindless television humans enjoy so. It is projected onto the glasses that cover their eyes. Some of course ask to be put into coma's and for the most part we abide. Of course if the criminal was horrific then the victims family may demand that they suffer through the process... I believe we even have one serial rapist here that is also denied painkillers. Sadistic man."
They left the room in an orderly fashion, some breathing more easily now that stone and morter separated them from the Blood Bank. One reporter even grew brave enough to ask questions.
"What- um, what do you have to say on the matter of the Vegetarian Vampire regime in Romania? And how- that is- If a vampire is to commit a crime, how would they be... well what would happen?"
Kain stared for a long minute at what the man realised was probably his own neck. Eventually the ageless King met his eyes and responded.
"I have seen the statement from the low-born vegetarian vampires. Born from a human bloodline corrupted into chaos and sin, they fight against their nature however they can. They are all after all, born with a human perspective on the world. Their ability to corrupt truth still intact. They claim that vampires should not rip apart their food, yet they ignore that humans do this every day. Butchering their domesticated herds by the hundreds. Ripping them apart and feasting on the cold dead flesh of their murderous ways. Oh no, the humans will cry, we are not so impure! We cannot be the sinful murderers of hundreds. Surely our own victims are less then us? Not sentient. They hide from their own nature. Hide the murder behind doors of concrete and mind."
Kain turned, lunged, and kicked the vault door. It broke from its setting and clashed to the floor once again revealing the captives inside.
"Even now you were at ease because THIS was behind closed doors. Silly, small minded mortals that you are. They demand that vampires become vegetarians while not demanding the same of humans? What corruption of spirit they have taken from their human beginnings. It is providence that my own line of Vampires is born from the bloodline of the Ancient High-Borns. Those who were angels corrupted by demons. We are not inherent of the delusions of man. We are eternal, we are not equal."
"As to our own methods of- disposing of kin. I am their father, I can give or take away as I choose. Follow me."
The humans were then manhandled onto a plane and flown to the throne room of the Blood Empire. Held between Raziel and Turel was a thrashing vampire clad in dirty clothes.
"What was his crime my childe?" murmured the King as he took his seat upon the Throne.
"He is the leader of the kitten poker cartel. A new one always appears, but he was especially ruthless in his procurement of his stock. He killed small children for their loving pets and even imported illegally from foreign lands."
"Come on man! They were just kittens!" A smack from Turel caved in his head, bursting matter onto the floor before it reformed and healed. "Okay so it was a few mortals too! What does it matter they were just-"
Kain stood. An outstretched arm caused the vampire criminal to rise up into the air. suspended by dark magiks as he gasped for breath to speak.
"You are a corrupted line of my blood. You have broken the laws of the land, brutally eaten free humans that are not yours to eat and conspired with foreigners. With my dominion over thee I cast you into the pit for all eternity."
A hole opened up in the centre of the throne room and the criminal was flung down it. His screamed turned tortured after a splash was heard. Gurgles and hissing followed. Then blessed silence. Until Kain began to speak once more.
"Beneath the throne room is a lake of acid-water. Left from the corruption of the previous human lords of the land. I have also had it blessed by every religious priest I could find and added my own sanctified blood. Vampire Criminals are thrown into it. To be imprisoned in agony for all time."
The Immortal king reached for his goblet, but upon finding it empty waved a human woman forward. She took up a knife and slashed a wrist to refill it.
"It is a shame that the last messiah of the humans was not immortal upon earth as I. How easier it would have been to keep his religious kingdom in check. But of course, humans are easily disposed of, if locked up for long enough they simply expire. Lower born vampires are also easily destroyed. A stray stake to the heart or a religious purification and they are gone. High born vampire are not so easily dispatched. We are immortals. TRUE immortals. Ever turning on the wheel of reincarnation. If a mere part of us survives then we can be reborn. We could be cremated and scattered to the wind, but if a drop of human blood would fall upon a single part of that ash then- rebirth! Thus there is only imprisonment for my kind, endless imprisonment in the pit if the crime is so high as to be unforgivable. I do not mind the poker too much, but bringing foreigners into it..."
The camera men made sure to record a shot down the pit, it was dark but in the turquoise colour of the water they could make out bubbles still emerging from deep underwater. Maybe it was part of his delusional mortal mind. But the cameraman was sure that with each popped bubble of air he heard a tiny scream.

Koopa Rica will avoid settling Las Vegas. Peace in our grime!
General Bowser has decided to join this alliance, sharing the authoritarianism of the Manx regime and understanding that democracy has no grasp of order.
Granada has the same sentiment as Koopa Rica, and agrees with the idea of divine rule (Enerjak himself being a God and all) and Enerjak has agreed to an alliance.
He responded to my PM with general orders. So, I don't need to show anything.

I personally would like to send my condolences to you and the rest of the Imperium of Man. Death is always a sad thing, I still remember that terrible day when my wife was lost in a German ballooning accident. A terrible buiness.
As a sign of good will, our next shipment of spices will also contain specially grown middle eastern flowers for Gilmore's funeral. We will give them to you to honour a great man who I never had the privledge of meeting. He helped bring Spam back into Manx, for which I will forever be thankful.

"I am disgusted with the conflict between Canada and the Imperium of Man. This is unacceptable.
I have come to a decision. The Imperium will sell the province to Canda, in exchange for 7 income. 5 income will cover the army used to claim the province, and the 2 will cover the resources lost from the province.
An alternative would be for Canada to claim another province FOR the Imperium of Man, as well as a 2g fee for troubles associated with resource loss (and the fact that the Imperium had the province first).
Whichever nation(s) refuse the offer will be embargoed by the Republic of Romney and ALL her allies.
If both nations are willing to reach a compromise on their own, then that will be acceptable alternative to the above two proposals.
One thing is guaranteed. This conflict will be resolved immediately."

The Holy See expresses its condolences at the death of your Emperor, who unrepentant and in obstinate heresy stood outside the Church put his soul in mortal jeapardy. We pray to the Lord Most High that Gilmore Flanagan repented before his passing, lest his soul be consigned to eternal perdition.
However on the temporal matters you discuss, it is certain that the Emperors decision to persist in heresy was not a decision taken alone. Almost certainly senior figures collaborated with him, and upheld his heresy and opposition to the Divine and Catholic Faith. They were also excommunicated by virtue of their collaboration.
As such if the Imperium of Mann wishes to restore the good graces that previously existed between it and the Holy See. Its government must publically recant, and repent of the various heresies of Emperor Gilmore Flanagan, confirm adherence to the dogmas of the faith, accept the authority of the Bishop of Rome over the whole community of the faithful, and abjure from collaboration with those who have made themselves opposed to divine religion, and the will of our Lord.
Do these things and the temporal chastisements, the embargo and the interdict over Mann shall be lifted and the Holy Father shall grant his absolution and clemency.

Defensive Pacts are by their very nature, passive. They do not encourage war. Greed and Corruption are the main causes of war. Very few are made for benevolent purposes. If you can state a reason, or a faux pas, that may reveal your intentions to be so just we would of course back down from any military agreements with Manx.
But of course your sudden war declaration against the Imperium while these talks were beginning is not a good sign.

Firstly, the post you quoted was an ultimatum, not an official declaration of war. We also posted this before Romney entered in on our side. It is possible that a peaceful resolution may indeed be found, and we hope so.
Secondly, our faux pas is NewFoundland. It is Canadian territory, with Canadian people, being occupied by a foreign power from Europe. We cannot allow our people to suffer under Manx rule.
We have offered financial compensation for the island. We have not only been refused, but mocked.
We don't really have any design on European territory of Manx, although if they do not make peace after our troops liberate NewFoundland, we may be forced to annex in order to create peace through violence. But we prefer alternatives. Indeed, we prefer that NewFoundland NOT become a battleground. But the island becoming a battleground is better than it remaining in the hands of Manx.

We at one point offered more gold than you did, and we were happy to take your offer. We had already accepted it. Manx has not.
As such, you are standing with us as the more reasonable party.
Another party proposed some kind of peacekeeping deal as well, IIRC they got a little bit of money and resource priority, we accepted that one as well.
We've already consented to being kicked around for this territory. But Manx will not let the Canadian people go. Because enslavement is more important to Manx than liberty.
