Multipolarity III - Game Thread

The UKNZ strongly recommends Australia not attempt to embargo the Romnesians. Although they are free to do as they wish, allowing increasingly less tolerated traders through their ports is certain to be profitable.

So you prefer profit and to trade with people who say that they want to commit genocide against our nation?

The UKNZ notes that the current war has been expressed by both sides in terms of being a war to the death. If we were to cut off trade with Romnesia on those grounds, we would have to cut off trade with Namibia also.

Who is they? Romnesia wants you out of what they see as "their" land. The spammers are not impressed with Nambian policy and the Blood Empire was launching a pre-emptive defensive strike. We were horrified when you attacked Romnesia when the Iron alliance was up and running, ergo declaring war on us as well, then not trying to sign peace! If you didn't want to be invade you shouldn't have declared war! However the Blood Empire is ever prepared to make peace and let the Nambian Nation live if they beg forgiveness for their innumerable sins.

No. We shall not make peace with you. You will make peace with us. With our terms.

Namibia embargoed me? Or I embargoed Namibia? Huh.

OOC: I don't recall you embargoing Namibia or the converse so I presume its a mistake. Anyways just to be sure you can revoke the "embargo" I suppose :p

So... anyone fancy providing Ronan a wife?

OOC: According to the stats there are 5 player monarchies. One of them is you, so thats one down. The next is me, so thats another one down. Third are the nether-scots, so thats a third down, leaving only the Blood Empire and Algeria, neither of which are likely. Thus your dilemna is summarsied: there is nobody left with a royal family who likes you that much. :p

DT

Japan is an Empire too, you know, but we despise the Manx and most other people in the Atlantic, so that's another down.

OCC: There is also Russia. I have already married into them though via Magnus's wife.

I guess I have to see if Tropico's current isolative ruler might be intrested in getting links with the Imperium.

There is also the emergency option and have a marriage with the Romney family. It would ensure peace but it is unlikely and the Mormonism might lead to request that the wife of Ronan converts before marriage. There is also I suppose one of the Pope's clients or perhapes a member of the Bosnian leadership.

So... anyone fancy providing Ronan a wife?

Nobody wants to get a royal marriage with the losers, now do they?

In other news, the Nether-Scots are lifting their embargo on the Manx.

The King of the Greater Netherlands and Scotland is officially adding the title King of England and the King of Wales to his crown, adopting a new name for the nation; we shall now be known as the United Kingdom of the Netherlands and Great Britain

Tropico lifts all of it's embargoes.

OOC: The stats list both Japan and Russia as dictatorships, which is why I didn't list them.
DT

OOC: Yes but Russia described itself as a Empire governed by a Emperor. Japan has evolved into a Empire as it united in the game.

Still... I am thinking of Tropico for a marriage partner there.

Although the Japanese Emperor has no real power whatsoever. The power, as in old Japan, is in the hands of the Shogun.

Tani did it for some unknown reason. I specifically stated to stay Isolationist and embargoing someone doesn't look like a way to do so.

Anyways: Trade?

That is the correct list:

Romnesia – Aden, Malay, Manx, Namibia, Canada, Costa Rica, Spammers, Tropico, Iran, Mongolia, Australia, Tanzania, France

I know that much; I was just seeing if any embargoes are being lifted with peace accords. :p

OOC: Actually you need to add the clients of all the majors that are embargoing a nation as well if you wan't to be really precise (or just make a long, impressive list), although I suppose that particular aspect is just assumed when the major patron embargoes someone such as say Romnesia or Namibia.

When a major embargoes you the clients following is more or less guaranteed yes. :p

Australia understands the UKNZ's concern, but feels that Romnesia's declaration of ethnic cleansing should not go unpunished. Losing a fair chunk of world trade is the best way to do such without causing more chaos.

A good cut of 3% or so of world trade should do the trick.

Namibia embargoed me? Or I embargoed Namibia? Huh.

You embargoed Namibia.

Anyways: Trade?

Isolationist but still maintaining some semblance of credibility as UNGS.

Your embargo on Namibia and Manx was cancelled due to their peace, and a new one declared on Romnesia for reinitiating hostilities. :p

Oh yes, nukes.
