"I am Adrian Czerwinski IV, Emperor of the Third Polish Empire. Here is the history of my nation, and hopefully this will be just a record. However, from what has just happened, who knows? This may be my autobiography, and the last surviving record, assuming my laptop doesn't get shot to pieces.
At first, it was Poland. Originating from a tribe in the Eastern Europe region, it soon found itself in a seeimingly unceasing state of war. For nearly a thousand years, it was either at war with itself or its neighbors, until the early second millenium, in what we call the Great Respite, where the only true conflicts were those of terrorism.
And then, the peace was shattered yet again, by the Cataclysm. What happened during the Cataclysm was never recorded, all I know is that it was a dark time in the history of the Earth. Out of the ashes, though, the First Polish Union, named Partitionania, was born. It reformed the Warsaw Pact, and restored Poland to its previous glory. Becoming a major power, it improved its destructive power with PB missiles and became a beacon of international rights. However, it was not to last. The Comintern, having sparked conflict, practically obliterated the nation, and Partitionania was no more.
Partitionania was to rise again, though. The Second Polish Union was not to last, though. The Russians, apparently still embued with a hatred of the Polish people, invaded, and the Polish people were once again oppressed by the accursed Communists.
Now, it is the Third Polish Union. We broke free of our oppressors, when the Communists failed once again to the might of a Democracy. We survive, free and not oppressed yet again. Or, for now, that is. I am afraid of what is to come.

OOC: Well, It's been a while since I've actually RPed with a Fallout-esque atmosphere (The last time I did it was with the NCR in an IOT a long time ago). I'd figure I take inspiration from Fallout 2, but with my own Post-Apocalyptic nation at the other side of the US .
