Multipolarity IV Game Thread

@Sulawesi: We would recommend to freeze the assets and embargo Jakarta, for obvious reasons. Spartacus will obviously help defend your nation from those Slaver Scum. On another note, would Sulawesi please assist Spartacus by proposing something within the UN for us? It would be greatly appreciated.

Sulawesi shall comply with its Spartacan liberators' requests.

I return in glory! Stuff to follow when I unpack.

Sulawesi would be smart not to go with Spartacus. it will lead you to ruin, and for you to go back to being slaves. or if the Romans get there, you will either be free or dead, depending on the level of resistance.

We thanks Rome for her support, but couldn't possibly ask the empire to send troops or ships.

We got nothing else to do, since we did just abandon a plan that 'might' lead to war with Antioch...

For reasons that shall perhaps become clear in the future it might not be wise to attack Sulawesi. And I don't mean an HHI intervention.

I think it'd be wise if the HHI sits down. Any foreign military or covert intervention in Sulawesi will be construed as a declaration of war against the Court of Jakarta.

Likewise, from here on our, any acts of covert activity against the Jakarta Court of members of the Pacific-Indian Ocean Co-Prosperity Sphere will be assumed to be declarations of war. There will no longer be any leeway.

Any attack on the Roman Empire will be an act of war. straight and simple.

we are aware that American nations tends to not want Europeans on their continent. we respect that, and will deal with that after the conquest.

after all, the Roman Empire cannot rule over any American provinces.

I specifically said I don't mean an HHI intervention, its in the quote you guys referenced. How is that not clear enough?

I have no intention of committing troops or espionage to pacific territories. Because the HHI doesn't fight wars unless war-decced.

the Roman Empire is paranoid. and, what you said still allows you to attack the Empire.

The HHI isn't going to actually fight anyway. Seeing its liberal leanings, it is more than likely that the HHI intends to divert funds to operations not particularly involving Sulawesi. The HHI clearly has knowledge of "reasons" that will be damaging to our countries should Sulawesi go under (which it will).

Therefore, it goes without saying that the HHI will be held responsible for any and all damages beyond the established estimates by our military should these "reasons" not be revealed.

And yes, I know Sulawesi is complex. If has been in the Crimson sphere for nearly a decade before the violent overthrow of the government and subsequent retribution drive of rape, murder, and destruction across the once peaceful country.

Maybe you should just be less of megalomaniacal and let one tiny country run itself in peace. As far as your personal estimates, you could just make up, so we don't particularly care about those. The Illumination is just trying to be helpful to you and all you do is rage.

Keep your nose in your sphere, or don't be surprised to find your nose broken for poking it in ours.

This is the same policy of the African Union (who enforced this doctrine in the Cape Verdean War) and Argentina. This is probably the same policy as the 501st and China-Japan, hence why we do not involve ourselves in their spheres despite there clearly be financial interest for us to do so.

If your insane policies end up harming you you have no one to blame but yourself.

The policies enacted by Spartacus has resulted in widespread death in destruction in Sulawesi and a slaveocracy to take hold. For the purposes of economic and political stability in the region, Sulawesi must be brought back in the fold and the monarchy restored. Before the Sparatcus-sponsored uprising, there was no conflict in Sulawesi.

Lock in 50 hours.

New Chief Mageistrate in Antioch

For the last several years, the Antiochan government has overseen a major decline in the country's fortunes. Today the High Mage dismissed the prior Chief Mageistrate and has appointed a more energetic, ambitious successor. The new government promises that it will do all in its power to reassert Antioch's power in the nearby countryside, particularly by competing actively with Azerbaijan for influence in the Arab peninsula and Egypt.

"The end of Azeri dominance of our neighbors is nigh."

Antioch is now an NPC with the same usual rules governing its behavior pending Double A's return from busyness

the Roman Emperor was heard laughing evilly, upon news of Antioch's changing political climate.

the Roman Emperor, after a stern scolding from his wife about laughing evilly, asks Antioch is they can trade 4 provinces (that is, the Aegean, Corfu, Crete and Cyprus) for a large amount of gold.

if i missed one greek province that they control, add that, and increase the gold.

Antioch proposes the Treaty of Nicosia. Key terms are as follows:

-For one, Antioch reserves the right to evacuate all people and infrastructure from the provinces beforehand
-To make up for the resource loss, 4,000 gold is requested
-All Byzantine influence in Egypt shall be turned over to Antioch

We understand giving up a full biannum's worth of revenue is a high price, but the unified Greek provinces and your vastly expanded (and free from resistance!) resource base will thank you.

Done.

(OOC: that is, assuming its the same provinces you described in the VM)

Antioch's engineer corps is positively giddy at the Roman acceptance.

Effective next year, the administration of Cyprus, Antiochan Anatolia, and the islands of the Aegean, Ionian, and Adriatic Seas shall pass to Rome, once payment is confirmed.

We are vastly disappointed in Rome. We had hoped that this new Roman Empire had discarded the barbarities of slavery. It is obvious that we are wrong, as you are siding with the slavers right now. We warn you, your siding with Jakata will bring nothing but ruin for your people.
