No nuclear weapons were deployed and most armies surrendered; what few were capable of fighting were busy fighting each other in the chaos of a civil war. Bosnia has occupied the entirety of the western Byzantine Empire, and the territories are theirs to annex or transfer to independent governments as they see fit.

The opportunistic Antiochans took the remainder of the Byzantine Empire, barring Cyprus, which has a solid leftover of the Byzantine fleet guarding it. Troops were reported to have given friendly waves to their Bosnian peers on the opposite side of the Dardanelles in Constantinople.

Cyprus meanwhile, is Cyprus. And the world keeps on turning...

Civil War!

In the interests of educating the populace about the War of Succession, these are the contenders:

Apocalypta exists in harmony with the environment. They are the core of the anti-nuclear movement, and are staunch supporters of direct democracy and minimal military intervention. They're also the primary manufacturer of zeppelins.

Monsterguard is an orderly, fascist city-state. The trains run on time, soldiers guard every corner, and they're the only city which bothers to build tanks.

Haven is located on Madagascar. It is so called because of top secret pre-cataclysm tech which protected it from the jungle. Haven focuses on research and development, but they use an underclass to accomplish manual labor and serve in the military until robots become reality. They're the only city-state which bothers to maintain a navy. Politically, they're a republic...of property holders.

The Triple Alliance has agreed that the only fair thing to do is for all city-states to accept foreign support equally.

The Revolution is really a movement spear-headed by Formidda, a "colony" of Haven's. Formidda eclipsed its mother city nearly fifty years ago, and got really pissed that the Triple Alliance wouldn't amend to a Quadruple Alliance. It's extreme reaction was to wage war against the other city-states, and it almost won. It lost. At present, the Revolution is believed to have been destroyed...but the Carrier was never confirmed sunk. And if it still exists, it would forge a communist utopia out of this desolate country.

The Republic of the Congo is shocked that the troubles in Tayloristan would turn into a Civil War. They will be, along with the rest of the African Union, providing humanitarian aid to Tayloristan and will be marking the area as a war zone.

Although offically the Republic does not support any faction it is an open secret that the government, along with the majority of Congolese citizens, favors Apocalypta out of all of the city-states.
