to be honest, it gets slightly better. Season 4 is watchable.

I was tempted to look, but Hasbro appears to have started circulating pay-per-view copies and cracking down on people upload entire episodes on Youtube.

That makes me very happy I bailed before S4. I went and looked at the S4 roster and Meghan McCarthy wrote that episode and the Premiere.

Even if you think it was a bad joke (I'm not even convinced it was a joke), doing that and actually accomplishing something would just give everyone else a headache and a penchant for never talking to you. There have been sex jokes that fly way over the heads of kids in plenty of kids' movies, so there's no reason to sic the thought police on MLP.

dude, the only ones seeing these MLP tentacle scenes to immediately think PORN!! are us. Even most adults don't think sex when seeing tentacles.
However, if you want point out to little girls that this monster doesn't want to eat Twilight Sparkle but to finger her, then there is something way more wrong with you than with cloppers. And I actually don't mind cloppers.
