Myth01- Training Day- Regent

BTW, when did this happen:
Spoiler :
chineseempirepz0.jpg

It's not in 1500 BC save I got... Also All I see in IBT is talk about settler that found Lahore(Am I mistaken?).

I can play whenever you like, expt when I'm sleeping. Would prefer to play this week and before sunday. Do I get the honor to declare? What's gameplan for me?

Note, if we(I) would micromanage Beijing so one worker who is on roaded&irrigated plain would be next to river and R&I plain tile, we would not need the extra 10% Lux as luxuries would grow by 1 and bejing would have 3/1/3 Happy/Cont/Unhappy.... We would learn mathematics in 6 turns +1 gpt.

We could also remove one worker from I&R plain tile and make him/her/it into specialist that would give extra 2 sci per turn 14 spt instead of 15, or extra 2 gpt and 14spt
...
but Beijing would not grow anymore...

lurker's comment: Gandhi's demand is probably a good sign that you don't have enough Archers.

Hi, Northen Wolf.

I'm not sure what you mean by the picture. You should have a save at 1250 BC (I started in 1500 BC, but ended in 1250 BC), at the end of my tenth turn.

lurker's comment: Gandhi's demand is probably a good sign that you don't have enough Archers.

Agreed. We are making them as fast as possible right now,
but a couple more somewhat developed cities would help that (maybe).

But, they do "fear our archer", and he didn't declare war when I told him to stuff it, so we might be on the fence with him.

Ah, my bad. Wow. I see it founded in my saves by 1300 BC, but not there at 1325 BC. I can't believe I missed that. I'm very sorry. That city is in the fog. Why can we see it? Is that normal?

I think it is definitely your turn in the rotation, so I doubt anyone will have a problem with you going ahead, though a game plan might be desired by them.

I don't understand about the moving of a worker toward the river, adding luxury. Can you please explain that?

Making a specialist is maybe not a bad idea. Unless we can get to 20 spt, which won't be until we can get at least 3 more population, we can't improve the Archer production capability of Beijing anyway.

lurker's comment: You can always see cities, as long as they aren't in the unexplored area.

And quit bolding everybody's name! :p

I will explain that with pictures, takes few mins. I also prefer to post everything into one reply :P

And quit bolding everybody's name!
I like that, bolding, makes me bolder!!

lurker's comment: Very nice turnlog, Yahya. Just a couple of quick questions from the peanut gallery:
1) Did you remember to turn down science on the last turn of Philosophy? I hope that's not a condescending question, but this is a TDG and that's one thing I can't tell from the turnlog.
2) How many archers do you have?
3) Any clue as to what sort of military Ghandi might be fielding? IOW, how many cities does he have? Can you trade him IW or WC (which would mean that he doesn't have them)? Are cultural borders in places other than his capitol expanding (which would mean that he's building temples rather than military)?
4) Any plans to build a settler soon? I see iron just outside your cultural borders.

Northen Wolf, good eye on the micromanaging. I would not trade one food for one gold at this stage of the game (food is king right now), but if you can grab an extra coin without sacrificing the good, it sounds like it's enough to slide one more person over into the happy group. This is particularly useful in Beijing, where there's no corruption. In other cities, you'll have to watch to see if an extra gold winds up being an extra uncorrupted coin or just another corrupted one.

Also, I got cross-posted while typing this, but I would avoid using specialists at this stage if I could.

Btw, It's not good eye, its good mouse that made an mistake :P tried to maximize beijings food and producion and check if specialists would do any good.

lurker's comment: I see no difference between the 2 pictures. :p

We got 10 archer waiting at strikepoint, I doubt that India has even half as much... Its regent not monarch or emperor... (BTW I hate my internet connection)

I see no difference between the 2 pictures.

Do you now see(uploaded same image two times a row :( )?

I always edit my posts in like 15 minutes after posting, always am unclear, always type something wrong...

lurker's comment:

Thank you. Unfortunately, I got into a rhythm and missed the founding of that city. Bummer.

1) Did you remember to turn down science on the last turn of Philosophy? I hope that's not a condescending question, but this is a TDG and that's one thing I can't tell from the turnlog.

That's not condescending at all. I tried, but even with one turn to go, it extended the number of turns to 2 if I reduced science, so I left it the same.

2) How many archers do you have?

I'm not positive about that, but I would say about 12 or 13. I know there are 9 in Tsingtao alone. There are another 3 or 4 in the other cities.

3) Any clue as to what sort of military Ghandi might be fielding? IOW, how many cities does he have? Can you trade him IW or WC (which would mean that he doesn't have them)? Are cultural borders in places other than his capitol expanding (which would mean that he's building temples rather than military)?

I think Gandhi has only warriors and spearmen, and not a terribly high amount of them. I saw no archers, nor did I notice any mention of them in the diplomacy screen.

4) Any plans to build a settler soon? I see iron just outside your cultural borders.

As of the start of my turnset, the plan was to really amp up archer production, so I did that. Though, I do agree that at least one other city (especially on that iron) would be a good idea. We could maybe make them out of Beijing, as it is quite large.

Spoiler :

I'd go for iron that is most north, on mountain, as that would give us umm chokepoint kinda thingy...

BTW, how many opponents we have? just 2?

Ah, so then the reason for the person move was to generate more gpt?

Then, that means we can increase science, while leaving the luxury slider alone and get the same number of happy people without specialists?

Sorry, I need that all spelled out for me.
