Really?

How come they never post in here?! Everyone who doesn't post in colosseum is
a n00bie. Hah!

Well, most people who post in a gaming forum will be more interested in the game, than making smalltalk here. ;) :p

Bah! Nonsense! :p

Btw, there _HAS_ been a thread like this. It's somewhere in the history...

It's just something that you've got to accept about OT, that the same topics will recur regularly. You can either make your response and ignore all the other threads (I mean, who really is interested in which is the most popular colour at CFC? And why?) or use them to boost your spam count by putting the same thing in all of them. I think that this is an interesting thread though, and it will attract people not already covered by the previous one. Well done to Padma and Thiazi and others for actually giving more information rather than just saying "my cat's called duke o' york and I couldn't think of anything else to put as a name when I joined but my cat came into the room" or anything like that. None of that is true by the way - I don't have any pets and any animals would probably be in a parlous state pretty swiftly if I had to look after them.

Well allhailIndia came on the spot when I registered for Civfanatics. I always play Indians(you ought to have guessed by now) and that, I think has made me a bit of a chauvinistic, nationalistic, megalomaniac:mwaha: :king:

The story of my name is not particularly of a complicated nor interesting nature. The Simon part came with the body, and I made the "Darkshade" part up in about '93, as a combination of words that worked well.

Well..... my father's polish.
The Wilczynski name is impronouncable to the American tongue and it was thusly shortened to Ski by various people, i embraced this nickname wholeheartedly in order to avoid the Mispronounciations. The came planetarion, i became Ski, Lord of.... this was then shortened to Skilord, a name which i have taken a likeing to.

Something like 'will-sin-ski', right?
My grandparents are Polish, too. I've got the name, Gasiorowski.
(My one great-grandparent's name was 'Szerszen'). Her first name is even harder to spell.

It made for some interesting experiences at college. I could always tell they were trying to read my name whenever they hesitated. Only a handful pronounced it correctly.

My first nickname, when I installed ICQ 2 years ago and started to chat, was FortNox 15.
It was because I like the computer game 'Nox' I bought at the time, and I thought something around fox.
fox, nox, fortnox :D
15 was my soon-to-be age then. (I am 16 and 5 months now).

And then I thought the nickname is stupid, it represents pure capitalism and lucre.
So I needed a new nickname, something that will be good on IRC (I used to be on IRC also... quit it half a yaer ago) and forums.
Something Sci-Fi, and a bit intimidating hacker-like (you have no idea how amusing it is to pretend to be a hacker to randoms at IRC :-) ).
I thought something cold yet intimidating... IceBlaZe, with the best looking form of capitals, I, B and Z.

Now its just stick to me... Its not my ICQ nickname anymore and im not on IRC anymore, just use it on forums, and even this is dying as I use something more official on the other forum I participate in.

IceBlaZe will dissapear sometime, just like it showed. Maybe when I die, maybe I'll replace it, the funny thing is, it doesnt matter.
It's of no siginificance, its a tool that serves the purpose (Forums) :)

Oh, I also use it in TFC games and other online games that I used to play. The only game that survived more than 2 months in my life is TFC :)
And it beats the **** out of counterstrike, and I really dont care that counterstrike is more popular. :p :D

I'm sure you are. Now, when was the first time this dream appeared? :o

Well, about my nick name: No real connection to any real g-man. I just took it from half life. The guy over there looks a little like me. It's also fits me because my real name begins with a G - Gal. If you'll look it up you'll also find that I took my signature from a half life fan site...

Don't you find it weird that your name Is gal and my name is eyal and in this moment I am replying to your post in english... :p

Anyhow... Do you incase, play tfc...? :D
If not go download it right now

I used to but I sttoped due to my poor connection. I plan on making a come-back as soon as I'll get my ADSL (internet zahav told me it'll take two days top. It was two weeks ago).

I also stopped (almost completely) due to my poor connection.
I used to have an ok connection (64K ISDN that connects as 128K) but now it only connects half speed. No more free bonuses.

I'm getting my ADSL from 012.net (my current ISP) after passover.
I'll challenge you then, deal? :p

My nick is from the title of a Def Leppard song. It's an instrumental from the album "High N' Dry," and was sometimes played on the radio as an add-on after the song "Bringin' on the Heartbreak." You can listen to a 30 second clip of the song here. I'm not necessarily a big Def Leppard fan, but I really like this song.

[EDIT] The song really is called "Switch625." I have no idea where they came up with that name.

Becka

This is my nickname because....it's my name. :( There's a longer story, but I won't go into it. :p

The name I use at most other forums.....Playa del Carmen
---------------

I just like Playa del Carmen. It's nice. I've been there twice. (Occasionally you'll see Black Fluffy Lion call me this here :king: )

I have other names, but I'll not tell you them.... :satan:

uhhhh... It's the beginning of my last name, and hotmail said I couldn't have santo@hotmail.com....

But, Huitzilopochtli was the Aztec god of War. He was a winged serpent.

Austin the Iron Fisted:
This is the rank you get if you get a certain score in CivII. Back when I created the name I was stupid and thought it was the Iron Fisted, when really it's just Iron Fist.

I thought this was a cool title, so I combined it with my name; Austin.

My nickname is a combination of first name and last two initials followed by an m. The m is for the nickname I picked up on my submarine. "He's large, slow, and gentle - Manatee !" I seem to pick up a new nickname every 6 months or so but I like this one the most so far.
