NEB1: One Thousand and One Ways to Die

@Matt0088- Very well, we needn't discuss what is already mutually known. ;)

Victory for the Holy Dasian Imperiate!

It is all too beautiful.

All the maple leafs are messing with my head :p

Anyway, so, I was going to make an announcement about next turn, but... I still haven't quite decided what's going on. Although I am leaning towards a 'big' update with extra money to spend, which will conclude this 'chapter' even if it doesn't resolve all the conflict(s). For now, please feel free to post any opinions and ideas of your own. EDIT: please scroll down to post #908.

Let us post general strategy instead of movement such as (Break through with insistant StuG charges) or (Massive Paradrop of Light Tanks) or (Land Mechs on Old Orange Base and flank them.)

OK, I think will be going with something like Charles suggested - more money, less direct control, and more battles and movement happening in a single turn. This will conclude 'chapter one'. Exact details will follow soon.

PS, if you want to know what really defeated the 'evil' aliens, watch this (warning: minor bad language!)

Ahhhh.....:(
I would have perfered to micromanage my current operation, but BT is good, cause if one thing happens, it won't matter what I do, COBRA will be crushed regardless.:)

THE FINAL BATTLE IS NOW!

GOAL

This is going to be the big finale for this NEB. This will conclude the current 'chapter', even if it doesn't resolve everything. Whatever happens, the existing teams/factions are likely to reappear in future sequels, one way or another.

ORDERS:

The next turn counts as three turns in one. Basically, all units will be able to move and/or attack three times, potentially covering much of the map. But since this will probably lead to great confusion, and plans will probably go wrong at the first step, we don't need to have specific orders this time. Instead, you can give general orders such as 'attack towards XX location with X and Y units', mass 'tank attacks across X part of map', 'assign half of all units to defend XX and ZZ areas', etc.

Or, you might just have a list of objectives, places you want to capture or defend, in order of priority. Remember that it's possible for your units to fight across much of the map this turn.

Also note that units will be able to 'regroup/repair' this turn, without using up all their actions.

BONUS SPENDING:

All teams now have x3 their last income on top of what they already have. Also, I have added a couple of extra $ for some people in anticipation of bonus things being brought back to base.

Matt0088 now has 4+(4x3) = $16 to spend.

DarthNader now has 4+(3x3)+(1 special) = $14

Vertinari118 now has 15+(6x3) = $33 (!)

COBRA's bonus income is (12x3)+(2 special) = $38 (!), of which I have (provisionally) allocated $20 to Thlayli and $18 to Tuxedohamm. As a result...

Thlayli now has 11+(20) = $31

Tuxedohamm now has 7+(18) = $25

No other players are assumed to be active. Otherwise please contact your team members to ask for a share of their funds.

IMPORTANT NOTE: it should be noted this is your 'theoretical' resources only. There is a catch this turn: not all spending/production is assumed to happen straight away (since this is effectively three turns at once). Things will appear in the order you list them. Any attacks (or any kind of bombardment) against cities, HQ's, facilities etc could disrupt production of that player, preventing some new units and stuff from actually appearing during the turn. So you may wish to put your most important purchases at the top of the list!

THANKYOU: to all who have taken part this, and those who continue to do so. I hope this last turn will be fun.

OBJECTIONS: will be listened to. So I am not setting any deadline just yet. Please feel free to express your views on anything :salute:

I approve of Dafts rules!:) But, I'll still write a massive If statement filled orders anyways, if I can get some of that initiative bonus be sending orders about 4 days ago.:) There will be none of this "general orders" stuff!
Edit: @Daft, Will you be taking into account that some buildings will recover back to regular income, assuming that they won't be attacked?
Edit: I just noticed this, why is there a yellow damage marker in C3? Maybe just an error?

Thankyou, I'm still open to objections at this point.

@Matt0088, ah I admit that's a bit of a problem with this update. I guess, if things go well, and your damaged cities etc are left in peace to recover, you might get some free random units joining your campaign and be featured in the update (to represent the recovered $$$ that you wont get a chance to spend normally). But I'm kinda expecting the usual places to be fought over again.

It's the remaining Hit Points of Earth.

It is an error :o but I really like lord_joakim's explanation :D

If there's too many explosions this turn, the whole planet could explode...

OK I'm gonna set a deadline soon (Sunday maybe?).

I'm assuming nobody has any objections about this whole finale thing.

OKIES, I'm setting the deadline to one week's time. Thats next wednesday night, 15th April 2009.
